Brilliant adaptation of a 60’s radio ad for a deodorant called Ice Blue Secret with the slogan “cool, calm and collected”. Hiatt is so brilliantly deep and emotionally whole. I heard his 1st albums back in the 80’s when Roseanne Cash was covering his songs on her albums. Our greatest songwriter equal to Joni Mitchell

I met John when he was on the way back up, about the time of "Bring the Family". I was a true music ignoramus, but folks like him kept entering my life and chipping away. While I loved much of what John put out there, it took me years to appreciate how great this song is.
