Unfortunately, a lot of them are in Japanese ( I’m assuming, so I don’t know how to link them lol ). If you’re into hyper realism, but not necessarily planes, you should check out A4 Garage, Kenji’s Plastic Models, Car Model Channel, Rinaldi Studio Press, just to name a few 🙏

I used to build models as a kid. Airbrushing was just something that I just read about in books. I could never afford it or convince my folks to spend the money on it. The most detail I got was a rattle can and do it yourself dirt wash for cars. Videos like this make me want to pick up the hobby again. Thanks for the inspiration. You do beautiful work.

I love the stressing on the wings and fuselage. It looks so 3d, like there are actual divots in the plastic there. Love this plane! I would love to see some 1/48 jets, like the F104S, Kfir, or Mig21

It doesn’t matter if a heavily detailed cockpit is hidden by the fuselage and the canopy as long as you know it’s there. That’s what modeling is all about. Beautiful build sir.

Look up the manufacturing history of this plane ! So many teams turned down the build request because many deemed it to hard or even impossible. This plane was made from a small group of engineers that blew the socks off everyone else.

The Mitsubishi A6M2, like the Spitfire, had a special utilitarian beauty derived from it's function. Your over-the-top approach to paint and weathering makes this tiny plastic artifact a thing of beauty, and your tendency to "make it more interesting" actually is entirely appropriate. We can see, if we compare the blow-up photos of the real radial engine. I was awed to see the pistons of the engine, compared to the touches of rust on the pipes there - you captured that very well indeed. Thank you SO much for sharing your builds with us; it seems maniacal, the amount of effort you do, but the successful results speak for themselves.

Fantastic result!...I learn so much from PLASMO's videos...The 'canning' effect with highlight and shadow was a really effective idea...I spend a month on a model and really happy with it, then I watch this and realise I should have spent another month refining my effort...but it's all good...I've come a long way already from when I use to complete a kit and painted in a few hours...Thank you

When the Type 11 Zero was deployed to China in 1940, it was still officially "Secret": so when it was on the airfield the front end was covered by Tarpaulins to make it resemble its predecessor the Mitsubishi A5M (Claude) fighter, which bore some resemblance to the Zero (Except for non-retracting undercarriage.) This meant that the rear fuselage faded significantly in the Hot summer of 1940 and again in summer of 1941. The paintwork kept under the Tarpaulins did not fade anywhere near as much, hence the 2 toned paint.... You have done a Most Excellent job. I recently bought that kit, myself and I have the Hasegawa Type 11 also in my stash. (Thanks to Hasegawa for explaining the 2-tone paint in their instructions!)

Some years ago I took my son to Duxford for the father's day show. Apart from having the newly rebuilt Dunkirk spitfire taxi past us and take off we were walking along later and came across a troop of cubs climbing in and out of a wheely bin! We found that the resident model club had either closed down or were just throwing away old already built models. Some missing props or cockpit canopies and some still with the string attached used to hang them fom the ceiling. Some obviously painted by small children but some were exquisite. My boy came home with a backpack crammed with model aircraft. The cubs were filling their bags with anything still usable until a jobsworth ordered them away. I had trouble convincing my son now 20 that free models aren't standard at Duxford!😅
