Former President Idi Amin’s son, Taban Amin Tampo wants the NRM government to set aside a day on the calendar to have his grandfather recognised for the contribution he made to Uganda. Amin Tampo, who is the new elect MP for Kibanda North in Kiryandongo district told NTV in an interview that he will seek a consensus among his family members before seeking audience with the president Museveni over this matter. Tampo, who was elected on the NRM ticket to Parliament says despite his granddad’s legacy, he has decided to work with President Museveni to make a good name for the family.
