the center weld on those tanks is prone to rapid deterioration when humidity is introduced to it. there is no safe way to do what you have done. Keep your psi low as you have just built a pneumatic bomb. maybe you'll only put your eye out.

When an air tank explodes it's a major medical event. RIP

they are burst tested at over 800psi. you can literally just throw some paint in it and tip the tank around to coat the whole inside and the welds. in that case its safe for all practical uses. Even with some corrosion it'll; l leak before it completely lets go.

Only problem is inside of those tanks get exposed to moisture. As it rusts it will fail, hope you’re not down there when it detonates.

Those are single use only, illegal to refill them. The wall thickness is too thin to handle repeated fill/drain cycles and the metal will fatigue, and anything that happens when one of the tanks blows and you're 100% liable.

... there's probably NO Regulation or Safety Standards in his Country. They probably don't have proper Building Codes 🤔 3:03 Just look at that cellar, it has exposed rebar in the ceiling, and look at the crumbling structure around the doorway 🤨 That's the first thing I notice when I see videos like these. Just like when I see the truck repair videos from Pakistan or India, No one is wearing any Safety Gear, or flame retardant clothing, much less any eye protection. 🤔 People are Expendable there, but I will say some are better trained and educated than in the West, especially when it comes to trades. There's no training in the U.S. in any trades, at least not free ones, or inexpensive ones. Education is very expensive here.

Max psi freon tank can hold? I dont have any idea 120psi did not blow up?
@user-bj4lp3fr1o Жыл бұрын
This refrigerant has a pressure of over 300 psi at 120 degrees. The tank can probably handle twice that. It says 7 mpa on the tank (maybe, I can't tell for sure). If that's correct it converts to a little over 1,000 psi.
@Texaca7 ай бұрын
... 0:04 the tanks test pressure is rated at 2.7 MPa = 391.602 Psi. Service pressure is 2.1 Mpa.

25lb refrigerant tanks are burst rated at over 800 psi. For all practical uses this tank farm should last multiple years and hold 250 plus psi fine. Use paint, bedliner in a can is better. spray enough for it to pool inside of it, swirl it around to coat the whole inside. Dump the excess out. Connect them all together, and you have a nice auxiliary tank/tanks. Dont weld on the bottom like he did however. that will be the first failure point, they're made to expand and contract. Welding on the bottom fks up the ductility of the metal and when it expands and contracts, the edge of the weld will fail but if you just use the fitting on top, these tanks will take a lot of pressure.
