Comparing the subtle differences between an ideal design and slight angles changes that the Jambpeg gives. What do you think, does it make a difference?

I can see the difference..but I think that 99,99% can't tell what's "wrong or right" When you look at what stones most of the gold/silversmiths buy for their creations 😵‍💫...A perfect cut stone will be a lot better even if the angles can be a bit off the perfect angles.

I’m working on the solutions. My SOM should be delivered this week. I’ll mainly be addressing the dop indexing and divisions first.

I don't necessarily see the function of the Jambpeg as a defect, just a different method of operating, creating unique results.

I don't think it matters. So many seem to be machinists who moved to faceting. Faceting to me is qualitative, not quantitative. What difference is there between 90 degrees and 89 degrees that anyone would really notice. Stop trying to calibrate your machines to .001 tolerance and just make nice looking gems!!!

I actually don't see any noticeable difference. The graphs are so close it's fair to say they are the same IMO.

i’m thinking about ordering a sterling st-08. how long does it take to get it after placing the order? my teacher said he waited like 6 months for his v5 but i’m getting so impatient to start cutting on my own that im prepared to buy 2nd hand. if i can get a brand new machine from sterling, fairly quickly tho; that would be awesome

I think it’s more like 1-2 months. Make sure you go to sterlinggemland.com because there is a scam site out there posing as sterling.
