I thought I heard her say that. But I figured I was missing something in the translation. Lol. I love that. Can’t wait to say that to my Grandkids! See?? I’m always learning something from Luise! And it’s not always just about Journals! Lol

Every time you do a flip through of your Journals, I’m always amazed at the different sewing types on each page. I’ve tried to be a little creative but I’m never as brave as you are. Lol. After watching this, I’ve decided it’s not necessarily braveness. It more of giving myself permission to explore and have fun. I’m so glad you showed us ways to have the pictures go the right way and still fit in our Journals. Thank you so much for this tutorial.

Love it... "I had a clown for breakfast this morning." LOL😀 Enjoyed this video. It was very helpful on how to fix up the papers for the signatures. Love it. BTW...Luise, I found one of your videos a year ago, where you and Gerri play the "Junk Journal Waltz". I loved it so much. It was heartwarming to me, because it brought a memory of my uncle playing his accordion for the family. Thank you for sharing another of your many talents💖

After your recommendations, I purchased the IZinks in honey, gold and black licorice and I cannot believe the how it interacts with Distress Oxide Inks. It is a revelation. Basically just playing with them to create junk journal pages and fodder. That effect you achieved with the braille paper is so yummy.

I'm watching this whole series a bit later (September), and I appreciate it so much. This is a different approach to building a journal than what I usually see on KZfaq. Usually I watch someone make the cover, then put some pages in signatures, sew it together, and then embellish. I have sort of followed that pattern in making my own journals, with a few deviations. But this process of starting with the mood board and making decisions all the way along based on your color scheme and the combination of expected and unexpected elements related to your theme, this feels deeper and richer to me. It is already affecting the journal I am in the middle of working on, and for my next one, I think I will start with the mood board and follow the process you are demonstrating. I have found this with all of your videos, that you are so good at expanding my ideas of how to create a journal, but in this series I think you are really helping me bust out of unnecessary constraints. (Among other things, you give me permission to be a lot looser and messier, which makes me happy!)
