Criminals are only getting away with this because the courthouse/city govt aren't doing their jobs. They need to protect citizens information.

The stamp name and license #'s are fake.. I looked up some here in my state and they don't exist!!!

They already do. Deed transfers need to be notarized. Law enforcement should be questioning whoever notarized the deed.

How did this happen without ID check etc. or why was the owner not contacted by the county? What about the Lawyers nobody does a realty deal without a Lawyer just seems funny.....to me

I work in the mortgage industry and I've encountered this before. There was a borrower that tried to refinance with us, but someone recorded a fraudulent grant deed and took ownership of his house. The fraudsters took out a $250k loan against the house. The borrower had to file a title insurance claim to get it removed. Fortunately, title insurance covered his losses. ALWAYS GET TITLE INSURANCE WHEN BUYING REAL ESTATE!!!!

Keep hearing about these and they never make sense. Any transfer of deed should be met with several forms of ID and a live notary. This must be happening because of very lax controls. Plus you would think an attorney creating a new deed for the fake owner would need to close the loop with the prior (and still the) owner again with their ID. Whichever attorney created the new deed is committing fraud and should be sued.

A fraud alert happens after the fact, after the property has been transferred. Fraud alerts do not protect the property owner. If your property is stolen, currently, you have to go to court to prove that you are the rightful owner of said property before the deed can be transferred back into your name.

Family siblings that are trustees Selling beneficiary estates off stealing property out from under the proper beneficjury without the authorization of a beneficiary. Nor have you seen the beneficiary estate papers. They also forward your name to beneficiary Estate selling it out from underneath you as a family, sibling wood out of greed getting away with it
