Human rights groups say Israel is using starvation as a weapon in the Gaza Strip as Israel severely restricts the delivery of humanitarian aid, medicine and food supplies to millions inside the besieged and bombed territory. In a new report," Israeli human rights group B'Tselem lays out how Israel's decision to cut off electricity, water and international humanitarian aid to Gaza after a 17-year blockade against the territory has led to a very quick collapse of infrastructure. "The things that impede this provision of food for people who are starving is a declared policy by Israel," says Sarit Michaeli, B'Tselem international advocacy lead. "The Israeli government is at fault, is responsible for this, and this should lead to immediate international action."

The West cannot avoid the charge of double standards and complicity in war crimes committed by our allies with just "recommending" to our allies to moderate their policies. We were willing to kill hundreds of thousands in Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, Lybia, and elsewhere to supposedly "protect & promote our values" but when our allies are shitting all over our values and doing whatever they want with our support, money and weapons, the most we are willing to do is to recommend. Isn't this another instance in which we fight for those values? How about PUBLICLY threatening to cut off support and calling ethnic cleansing just that!! How committed are we to our values when 2 billion Muslims and probably as many in the rest of the world are scrutinizing what we do in this instance? We are witnessing not only the death of innocents in Gaza; but we're also witnessing the loss of our own legitimacy as a civilization. This is having a global impact in alienating our own as well as others because in this conflict our lies and our lack of moral clarity are quite apparent to just about everyone.

Those people have no problem with the fact that they have been living under Hamas rule for decades and that there are still abducted hostages kidnapped and held in their name. They could at least try to protest against Hamas and let the hostages free, as that could mean end of war within 30 minutes, but they prefer war. That’s what they get. Very sad. I believe they want to wipe out the whole Palestinian population, and and grab the whole country, like they have the West Bank. It is disturbing to me that weapons we're selling them are being used to kill and maim children and wipe out whole families. Israel has the right to exist, but not the right to deny a whole population to also exist and not have their homes, lands and businesses stolen.

As a homeless man in America the past 8 years, I have great empathy to people without homes and who are skipping one or more meals and experiencing hunger on a daily basis. I have done this for 8 years and physical, mental, and spiritual health have suffered. Being homeless like what is happening in Gaza is shockingly eye-opening to what garbage most of humanity is. I do hope the repentance movement sweeps through soon so all this inhumanity can come to an end. People value objects more than other people. It is a shame.

Thankyou brother for sharing. I live in Scotland and homelessness is quite a lot here. When I can I take time to speak to homeless person, just because I could be the only person that day that they have a chat with. And they are so grateful for those few minutes that I spend with them. My heart is breaking for the gazans, they have nothing left to lose but they are so strong in their faith and that is what is helping them. I hope you stay safe and well and please look after yourself

Although Israel has one the best army in the world, it wouldn't touch its neighbours if they wouldn't constantly attacking Israeli land. Suicide bombers, knife attacks, neverending rocket attacks..But Israel has best defense system so obviously the damage is only small. Unlike Gazans that all given money were spent on underground.. And btw yes, it's Israeli land. Same like Pakistan was a part of India and now none doubts there is a country Pakistan and there is a Pakistani nation. You have to learn history of first half of 20th century to put events into context.. If hamas wouldnt attack Israel, Israel wouldn't bomb Gaza. It's that simple. Also I'm reminding you little fact that you ignore. Gazans could turn against hamas and help release the hostages, that would surely help to prevent more destruction of Gaza. But instead they celebrated like crazy madmen over dead womens bodies. And all around the Muslim world. Should Israel just watch and should the world watch how muslims are taking over because they can murder in most horrible way, but we in west or Israel can't respond, because it's inhumane? How can you destroy hudreds of km of tunnels that were built under all houses? How can you eliminate radicals that celebrate murder, rape, kidnapping without showing them that we are stronger? HOW?
