The key point is only: If you argue in Germany with statements from these intellectuals, then you stand there as an "anti-Semite", you are immediately mistaken for Nazi henchmen. This fact alone shows how absurd, if not downright perverse, the current discussion about Israel and the Middle East is, if at all it can be called a discussion, it sometimes resembles a new edition of the Inquisition. What I mean is that Germany should not allow itself to be labeled as Nazis or anti-Semites, but should continue to critically question Israel's politics, because our generation does not have to feel guilty for anything. The constant argument with the Holocaust is being misused today for geopolitical interests of the USA and Israel. Israel, on the other hand, sees itself as the country with the most suffering people, so it cannot possibly commit crimes. According to the motto that a victim cannot possibly become a perpetrator.
