Shri Ram Murti Smarak (SRMS) Riddhima-A Centre of Performing & Fine Arts, Bareilly recently showcased an exciting comedy play titled 'IDHAR UDHAR…KIDHAR'-an adaptation of the French play 'FANFARE D'AMOUR' by none other than MAX BRONNET. Filled with hilarious comedy & surprising twists, this masterpiece was brought to life by 5 Elementz Theatre, New Delhi, which emerged as a delightful fusion of laughter & theatrical excellence.
Adapted and directed by Rakhi Chauhan Mehta &Manuv Mehra, the play unfolds a tale where two unemployed actors, Amar & Prem accidentally witnessed a murder taking place, and were spotted by the villain. To escape the villain's clutches, they sneak into a play rehearsal, where the play’s director Chandni mistakes them for actors and hires them. The plot takes a hilarious turn when, on one hand, an actor falls in love with a girl who was actually Prem dressed in girl’s costume, while on the other hand, Amar falls in love with Chandni. The cascading events left the audience in fits of laughter until the climax reveals Amar & Prem's true identities, bringing a delightful revelation to this comedic masterpiece.
