Well that was a TRANSFORMATION! We are taking down some pesky gum trees that have OVERGROWN in a garden area the farm owner wants to reclaim. Me and the trusty Husqvarna 550xp chainsaw make quick work of dropping the trees and piling them up for Big Munchie to turn into wood chips!

My Husband said that on the farms in Michigan, anything over six inches would be firewood and anything over eighteen inches would go to the saw mill. He said they would dig out the stumps and split them for firewood also. The smaller stuff would go to the chipper for mulch. Everything used. Enjoyed the video.

Why do I enjoy these videos so much? Maybe, it's "order out of chaos" or the "take no prisoners," mowing style... Mega munchie (mowing down forests), big munchie, little munchie and the brush hog; always, the right tool for the job!!! Keep up the good work. Stay hydrated. :)

Nice to have people willing to help others. Someone needs to teach him how to safely drop trees with a chainsaw. Larger first wedge on the side of the direction you want the tree to fall followed by a deep cut angled down meeting with the wedge. Would not need to push the tree over.

The farmer's love of gum trees is the same love we have for chicken trees (Chinese tallow) here in SW Louisiana. Have to watch the flower beds as chicken trees will come up everywhere. Every place one of the balls drop a tree will grow if not mowed down or pulled up. We have a camp with woods all around it and chicken trees can be seen justa blowin' in the wind. Husband said at one time he wanted to remove all the chicken trees around the camp, then decided that was a job for a fire (which we wouldn't do, of course). The joke would have been on us as the first trees to come up would have been chicken trees. lol.

So I do a lot of the same work but quick question. What is the benefit of the mulcher head vs a chipper you can easily feed with the mini? That honestly looks like a ton more time, effort and money. I understand different circumstances one works better but I don’t see the point tbh

He's a land clearing mulching guy not a tree guy and I don't think a 150000 to 250000 dollar chipper is in his business plan, and I think that mulcher is close or not as fast without adding another liability. As he said he would have took those trees with the mulcher if they were not close to the fence, he's not the cut it and chip it guy.

here's a great question for you do you think about getting a chipper shredder also for some projects that are small and we can see that to. Or are the munchie brothers satisfied with running the way they are. Just a food for thought

It's none of my business but may I ask why don't you hire an extra man, when you have such job assignments? Your friend down the road am sure would loan an extra man for the day... No harm in asking. You know you are not getting any younger. Well thank you for letting me suggest. Am 72 and watching you worries me, I'm dealing with a bad knee and back and hips pain for years, just because I thought I could do it by myself. Today I can't play with my two great grandchildren. I wonder 🤔 why. Because I thought I could do it by myself.,. Hint hint

Yes, it does take time to find the right worker, I suggested that he asked his fellow friend down the road (in the same business) to loan him a extra man for the day). So he doesn't have to look far, just ask his fellow business friend.
