getting my wife tickets to see this on Broadway as a Christmas present. I feel a joy and loss at the same time though: the joy comes from going to see it live for the first time...the joy is that I won't be seeing it with Cheno and Menzel. Love how Menzel holds the C for as long as she does without giving me the vibrato I was waiting for.... it's like, "Come on. Give it to me. I want it. I need it. Without the vibrato the C is like a half-cadence...an unresolved suspension...a tease."

@xMeiiko The Author of Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West (The Novel) took L. Frank. Baum's name, and used each innitial. (L.F.B.) He just put them to a pronunciation. El-Fa-Ba. And then spelled it differently. It's Baum's initials :D

@wickedObsessed22 It's interesting, isn't it? The author of the book, Wicked, actually named her and created most of the characters from the book (Miss Morrible, Boq, Fiyero, Dr. Dillamund). Still, Wicked took these characters and the basics of the story and turned it into a religious experience.

@ash4evagrl: Well, even in the Wicked book, there was Gelphie & Glinda/Fiyero & Elphie/Fiyero present. So, when playing the characters, some of the character personality rubbed off on Idina & Kristin. XD

@jasonr1929 it seemed like she started off rudely, when she cut Idina off when she was explaining the name of the author of the book. I was a little worried too, but she did much better when she continued the interview. So I guess if you hadn't watched it all the way through it would seem like she was being rude. Idina seemed extremely nervous though. I saw her live and met her and she was incredibly charasmatic.

This whole interview makes me uncomfortable...

As much as I respect Idina Menzel both as an actor and as a phenomenal singer, she makes an annoying "taking-in" breath sound before almost every phrase she sings. It's hard to catch, but if you listen hard enough, she makes these odd sounds when she breathes in. She probably doesn't mean to do this on purpose, and if she does, it's probably because she's trying to use proper technique which is good, but, it just bothers me.

Anyone else get the feeling that Kristen and Idina are sitting so far away from each other because they are likely to scratch each others' eyes out?? They seem to me to be putting on the niceties just for the interview. Once the camera stops rolling I'm sure they bolt away from each other. sad really.
