As expected of Idina, she dominates the role. This is why Idina is my idol. Her role as Elphaba from Wicked is why I got into musicals.

Idina Menzel is a queen, 100% my favorite Broadway Actress, I've only seen/heard one other person (Donna Vivino) do Elphaba better than her...Maureen however? No one even comes close to Idina! just my opinion 🤗🤗❤️

The things the algorithm "recommends" for me. *Sigh* Probably because I was looking for vocal warm up videos. I have always said this - in the world of music there are true belters and then there are those who just sing really loudly and say , Look Mom! I'm belting!

외국은 몬가 그냥 극을 보러가는 것 같고 우리나라는 배우에 더 집중하는 거 같은 느낌. 우리나라사람이 확실히 완벽주의성향이 강한듯 자기자신에게도 남에게도 그래서 솔직히 이 넘버도 우리나라 배우가 훨 잘함

ㅇㄱㄹㅇ이다 진짜 이게 답이고 이게 맞지,,, 저쪽이 언더스터디나 스윙 배우들이 더 활약할 수 있는 환경이 괜히 조성이 되는게 아님,,, 영상 속 이디나도 암네 언더였고... 괜히 씁쓸해지는 느낌 분명 둘 다 장단점이 있겠지만...

LV ANIMATIONS Idina was in Aida a few years before Wicked, and this was the original costume worn by Sherie René Scott as well. Has nothing to do with Wicked.

아이다는 흑인배우들, 암네리스는 백인 배우들이 해왔죠. 한국에서처럼 같은 인종만 사는 나라에서 하는 공연이 아니니, 보통 일반적으로 초연에서 정해진 식으로 이어지는 경우가 대다수고요. 정선아씨가 잘한 건 동의하나, 브웨 암네리스는 워낙 세계적인 배우들이 했으니, 안보시고 함부로 누가 탑이네 아니네 하실 말씀은 아닐 듯.

Sorry, I just don't see Idina's appeal. I think she's a decent performer in certain roles, but she just doesn't do it for me here. When I was younger, I was a big fan mainly due to her work in Rent and Wicked. But there's not a single role she's played that someone else hasn't done much better, and that includes Maureen and Elphaba. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad she's been so successful, I just don't quite understand it.

Arlo I think it’s because of her presence and how she really puts herself into the role and makes it something so unique. I do think that some people have done better than her but that’s just personal preference. But no matter what she always stands out in the role🙂

her best role is Kate from Andrew lippa's wild party. i agree with what you said about the fact that someone always plays her roles better. thats not the case in that show. look up "idina menzel life of the party"

I think it's because she has an appeal that's interesting... Like it's that whole 'will she fail' kinda thing.. Like you watch just to see how she'll do. When she's great... She's magic and when she's not it's really not.

Idina is the perfect example of someone who just has that "it" factor. Yes, there are others who may be able to technically sing better, and others who may make stronger acting choices, but there's just something about Idina. When she's on stage, you can't take your eyes off of her. That's what makes a star.

That might be why she only did this role for about 4 months or so. Considering that this show was on for 4 1/2 yrs, that's pretty short.

Orsy Godri No I don't have the link to this. Just type Aida Broadway full musical show in here (youtube). The results will pop up Aida OBC that's the original Broadway cast not with Idina Menzel. But there's another one with full show with Idina Menzel the youtube user is Havana Kaba, but the person uploaded in parts.

Everything is off, there´s even a missing girl at the runway at 4:39. The one in red has to come back to replace her. And Idina is horrible in this. If I had paid for this ticket I would have been really pissed.
