Great video. Do you need to bleed the brakes after having released the cap on the brake fluid reservoir? Many thanks.
@HowtoMan Жыл бұрын
The reservoir was still half full so there was no need to bleed the system as no air got in the system. If the reservoir was really low you may have to think about it, but if not you have no problem at all. When the job was finished I made sure I pumped the brakes lots of times to check all was fine, and sure enough, everything was perfect. Thanks for watching, glad you found it useful. You should always use a pallet jack to be safe, on case the Car Jack breaks. You don’t want the car on top of you.

Please make the Job again , the Brake Pads are different !!! You got 2 same Pads for the Outsides and 2 different Pads for the INSIDE ...pay Attention to the direction of travel for the INSIDE Pads !!!! Iam from Germany ,my English is as Bad as You have this Job done.

Torque the bolts to the proper specs. Invest money saved on the brake job for a torque wrench and either at least a G clamp or a cheap rewind tool.

You are definitely right though mate. I just replaced the front and rear brakes on my daughters VW Polo last weekend. I had to go out and buy a brake rewind tool for the rear brakes and I thought to myself, why on earth did I not buy this tool earlier.@@alanpatterson2759

@@SelfElevate-fh6xh I've got the documents on pc I'll have to have a look, I'm sure it won't cause a problem tbh.

@@SelfElevate-fh6xh hello sorry for the late reply. Apparently you will have uneven disc wear.

@@AnthGott Thanks for the heads up mate. I will check the wear and see how it is fairing.
