Here in Australia all semi's and trucks and vehicle combinations in excess of 7.8 meters have "Do Not Overtake Turning Vehicle" on the rear and that means what it says, Law wise and Insurance wise.

Something I'm realizing reading through this comment section: many people don't seem to realize that many double left turn lane intersections don't actually make the outside turn wide enough for trucks to make the turn without encroaching on the inside lane. Turn lanes off of a interstate offramp (like the one in the first clip) are especially prone to this, in my experience. But the truck did start turning too soon. He was already turning as he entered the intersection- he should have waited until almost halfway through it.

It's simple...the path through the intersection was not clear. The truck was first making a manuver that required the entire box. That should be as obvious as well as not entering the box when the traffic is backed up at the other end.

8:11 we hear the cammer say there's 2 idiots there, but I only see one. The Audi is just trying to get away from the truck driver (and finally uses the one thing he has that the truck doesn't-- a fast engine-- to do it) whereas the truck driver is risking people's lives over his ego.

for sure. i took a VERY BLIND turn at one point while driving myself and a friend to the mall to see a movie. i also have a LONG NOSE on my old car. peeking this right turn basically means putting my whole car into the road anyway. the speed limit is also like 35 but people go 50 on it. people coming from my left are also around a slight curve and a crap ton of foliage. I slowly crawled into the road making sure no one was coming, so I start making the right turn, and MAGICALLY there is a Very Angry Woman behind me blasting her horn at me. After about 30 whole seconds of her having a whole entire toddler fit we can see in the mirror and beeping, I pull over on one of those spots made of dirt FOR pulling over, and she ALSO stops and is about to get out of her car, so I FUCKING GUNNED IT! Tires skid and all that, she chased me some more, but I was going way over the speed limit to get away from her because my friend and I were SCARED. We lost her after making some turns we didn't need to. Then, get this: we saw her at the light in front of the mall parking lot in a different lane, and thankfully she didn't notice my car. So yeah, people are going to drive a bit unsafely to get away from someone who is endangering your life!

So I took off and I guess he took that as a challenge? He started chasing me until he almost crashed his car in the fast lane. Man I should really upload that video.

icy roads, if you watch again, they dont notice the person is ignoring the yield until its too late, but they DO brake, but you can only brake so much on a road like that, plus, with all that snow, you could turn your tires any which way, don't matter, the snow and ice said YOURE GOING THIS WAY! lol

With the first accident the driver with the dashcam should have used common sense and thought ahead. There are just some situations while driving out on the road that a pretty predictable ahead of time, which is why more drivers need to think ahead and take all the necessary precautions. Even in situations that wouldn't necessarily be their fault.

Everyone knows tricks need space on either side to make turns. He was driving normally and his turn had him lined up with the lane he was driving in. Cammer was at fault and should know better than to crowd a semi during a turn.

Don't care if I drive like a little old lady in the snow and ice, way better than having to buy a new car or ending up in the hospital. When you're going 50mph and you start to feel yourself sliding drop down to 40mph... I can see people who aren't used to driving in snow (out of state) or younger kids in their teens or 20s being reckless but after your first winter in an area that gets a decent amount of snow you should get the hang of it. Mostly it's a matter of paying attention and not being stupid. What sucks is when it's 40 degrees and drizzling out and people drive like it's frozen rain coming down, they are the ones who cause accidents by going 20mph in the fast lane.

I was just barley 14-15 seconds into watching this post for the first time and I my mind was yelling at the cammer.. GO GO GO GO! SWERVE LEFT! GET OUT OF THE WAY!!! He/she slows down...Crunch..... Idiot!!! ... I had to make a comment and took an hour+ writing it. I'm not going to attempt to claim who is at fault for this collision. Just pointing out the things/actions that could avoided this mess. Would you agree with my thoughts? The cammer should have recognized what was happening with the semi and stayed back/clear of the trailer part. Stay out of the way! Let the truck complete the turn! THEN zoom past the truck. The other "could have" thing that "should have" worked but it's less safe. I think had the cammer kept that close follow distance with the car in front when they started moving and had not fallen back, would have provided room to maneuver away from the lane crossing trailer during the turn. The truck/semi driver? (Watching the clip.) I see a lot of right hand road space not being used. I think the truck/semi driver had room to take a wider outside turn. Could have taken the cab to the right as much as possible during the turn providing more clearance to the inside turn lane.

Horn is used to warn traffic. Sudden hazards on the road is a good reason, especially when its about to impact traffic flow. 0:45 is a lesson in using 3 second not 2. following distance. And a nice example to warn other drivers that things are about to get unpredictable infront of them.

@@petehaack5228 I agree, but some people are not idiots, and the warning may help them to avoid an accident. When I'm stopped by road works or something I turn on the emergency lights even when I'm still lowering my speed to warn the people behind that they should start breaking. I turn them off when the vehicle behind me turns on theirs.

Carnivore doesn’t know how to drive 🤦‍♀️ “Yield to Wide Turns” means to yield on the outside of the turn, as the big rigs should take as much space OVER THERE to turn on the inside. This trucker is a buffoon, not only should have going slower to be able to turn... but to actually start the turn to the left much later (WIDER). Anyone, any vehicle, which doesn’t respect LANEs is at fault! Come guys, don’t be this obtuse

I've been driving since I was 15yo (illegally for the first 2 years, I admit lol) I'm 37 now, and I've never been in an accident. I observe what's happening around me, use my mirrors, and can anticipate what other drivers are gonna do. People who run stop signs, and don't know how to use the mirrors or signals absolutely baffle me. Like, who gave some of these people licenses? Lol.

If you don’t have blind spot signals on your car I recommend sticking on moon mirrors, AKA blind spot mirrors. As soon as I get a new car that’s the first thing I do! I look at them more often than I use the side mirror itself

Watching these videos I have noticed that in some case when a vehicle wrecks or even spins, the emergency flashers pop on (at 2:33, for example). Seems to be too quick for a person to just think of it. Is this something that newer vehicles do when an impact is detected, or some other hazard condition?

You know I see all these events, some avoidable, some aren't and how easily these could be prevented. What I've learned as a cammer from other cammers is to brake sooner, give space, drive like anything can happen and you should too

The first accident was the car with the dash cams fault, always yield both turning lanes to the truck and trailer since they require both lanes to make the turn.
