However, for all you insane/dangerous bikers out there- keep in mind that when you're going 20, 30, 40+ over the speed limit, someone in a car can check their blind spot and see that it's clear, even if they see you way back. They aren't expecting you to be approaching at double the speed limit and as such, if they switch to your lane and you get hit or otherwise crash because of it, it's 100% your fault. We can only do so much to help keep you safe. Do your part by saving the high speeds for a track. Edit: This doesn't apply to this clip. This biker was clearly too close for the white SUV to safely switch lanes. This one appears to be the fault of the SUV.
@techalyzer2 жыл бұрын
He was going pretty fast though. 100% the biker's fault. @malloryg42512 жыл бұрын
@@techalyzer That was absolutely NOT the biker's fault! Yeah, he was going pretty fast, but the Mustang in front of him was going way faster and nobody hit him. @DavidJCane2 жыл бұрын
Indeed, both should have slowed on their approach to the mini roundabout. The driver on the left had slowed, but the speed recorded for the camera car shows that its driver increased their speed marginally as they approached and certainly failed to slow. They would probably have been found to have been at fault. This happened at the junction of Ashfield Lane and Loop Lane on Chislehurst Common, South East London with the driver in the camera car heading south-east from High Street. The distance from the start of Ashfield Lane behind the camera car to the entrance to the roundabout is only 75 m and the point at which the recording starts is only about 30 metres from the High Street junction so they had already taken that turning a bit fast as well.

Because the hydrant worked the way it’s designed. The actual valve that controls the water flow is well below ground level, below the frost line, at the level of the water main that supplies the hydrant. When the hydrant is turned on the water flows up from below, fills the barrel of the hydrant, and flows into the fire department hose. When the hydrant is turned off the water drains out of the above ground portion of the hydrant so that in freezing weather the hydrant itself doesn’t freeze. This also keeps the hydrant from “geysering“ when somebody runs over it. The above ground portion of the hydrant is secured to its base with bolts that are supposed to snap off if somebody runs over it so as to minimize damage to the vehicle and occupants. However like any other man made device sometimes it doesn’t work out and you still get a geyser.

@cynthiatravers8757 Жыл бұрын
I assume you know the real reason is that on impact most people's hands "fly" off the steering column and smack the stalks for the turn signal and your wipers, if you car is designed like that.
