I've seen people buy & use formal postal trucks/cars cause those things will last forever.

That's a pretty unique phenomenon where if something is travelling through the air as fast as you, it will look like it's floating. Obviously it wasn't going perfectly the same exact speed, since it did "fly" a little bit, but it was an almost identical speed.

Btw, 1:09 is a better start for the clip, to see the truck approaching from behind. Anyway, intentional or not, this was insane footage and a heck of a smash. And I think the rear-ended car got kinda "lucky" in a way, because after being driven off the road, the car missed some kind of small pillar to the left and the drainage opening & pole to the right -- the second set of obstacle being things that would have stopped the car dead.

It's a cop. He's trying to get the guy to either pick park or drive. The pick-up will be "At Fault".

Nah. Once the video is viewed the pick-up will be seen Responsible for (at least) "Improper Lane Change" and that causes the accident. That's a cop trying to keep traffic flowing. The pick-up will have nothing but losses if he fights it.

@@speedsterjay If that was a cop then he sure looked like a pissed off child for blocking the cammer while also telling him to proceed smh, which made him turn further toward the left lane than he would have to avoid said "cop", which in turn increased the damage that he likely already would have suffered from the pickup - I'd absolutely consider filing a formal complaint and a small claims lawsuit against that "cop".

I'm only guessing but I think the camera car might have called the police on the drunk driver behind them. It may have been going on for quite a while before the clip started. Seems like the camera car noticed the cop coming up lights flashing and started to pull over even before the following car did. Probably stopped to show the police the video.

I assume both got ticketed for driving in the bike lane, yeah.

You can't really see whether the right side is flashing or not. USPS vehicles typically drive with the 4 ways on, even when they should be signaling left or right, it's just the hazard lights at all times.

You can't trust a person's "signal"... you have to go with rules of the road and confirm "right of way" regardless... but yeah, confusing

@@cdncitizen4700 If the USPS truck really was signaling a left turn, I feel like it's really not socially acceptable to assume the car in front might turn left and sit and wait for them. Here they had stop signs so they could have gone in order if in doubt, but if it were an unprotected left turn on green light then you sort of have to go by the other person's signal -- the signal or lack thereof *is* what confirms right of way, right up until a jerk turns starts signaling 80% of the way through their turn. People behind you would explode if you just wait when cars on the other side are signaling turns.

In many states, it is illegal to avoid a traffic control device, such as cutting through a parking lot simply to avoid stopping at the traffic light. I suspect the right turn maneuver would fall into the same category. Not that anyone would actually get ticketed over it.

Driver just lacks patients. Wonder how driver deal with daily lives.

Actually scratch that, because it looks like the cammer was in the left turn only lane but instead just went straight? Idk. Seems like the cammer was in the wrong but the other car could also have avoided the crash.

And yet you're the dumbass defending brake-checking. Which means you are a brake-checker too. You should have your license fully revoked and probably take an anger management class. You are a danger to everyone on the road (including yourself). The so-called "reasons" are either non-existent or aren't valid to begin with. The actual reason is the brake-checker has an ego and think they own the road and think any slight against them ie. passing them legally or lane changing in front of them also legally and with lots of room or they deem that the person is driving too slow (ie. the speed limit). Just to be perfectly clear, brake-checking is 100% illegal and there is not reasoning or justification for doing it. You are putting others around you in danger doing it. Glad I could educate you on this matter. Now do us all a favour and don't drive, and get your anger-management dealt with, we will all be better off for it.

You can "brake check" without actually BRAKING and causing an accident... however, not recommended! BUT... deliberately slamming your brakes on after cutting someone off, is a traffic offence.

Nothing prompts a brake check. If you brake check you are doing so with the intention to potentially cause a collision, no ifs or buts. I'm glad I don't drive because too many people need anger management courses.

It's a highway intersection, the left turn (highway on ramp) is up ahead. You're thinking he should have turned on to the off ramp (oncoming traffic)
