The fact that she was checking to see if she was passing on a red light or a green light, when clearly as a driver it's the single most important thing at that moment and not knowing the color is out of the question, removes my faith in humanity again. I'd fine her just for that if I could.

That guy who rolled back into the bike, the biker should have just stayed quiet and recorded the guy. Let him dig himself into a bigger hole and lie as the police came over.

If cops were called which I would assume they were judging by the guys attitude, that guy dug a bigger hole anyway saying the biker is full of shit... on camera! I bet you any money the guy in the vette still says the bike hit him.

I actually got stuck on train tracks between the gates legitimately once. Was crossing tracks normally, no train coming (yet) and the guy in front of me slammed on his brakes to avoid a kitten in the road. I'll admit I was following too closely, but I avoided hitting him. I wound up really close behind his bumper though, lined up nicely with the far gate, still on the tracks. Someone pulled up right on my butt and stopped. Guy in front of me gets out to get the kitten and I couldn't move at all, like maybe a foot of wiggle room total. Train signal lights up. 30 seconds later the bars come down. Whole time we're laying on the horn and shouting out the window for him to move his shit - he thinks we're being asses about the cat and completely misses the train signal turning on at first. Then he saw it, turned white as a ghost, and sprinted for his car. Guy behind me had the other gate on his trunk. The train was still a few hundred feet away when both vehicles cleared the intersection, but it was tense. I was wondering how much damage it was going to do to my truck to shove his car out of the way... Had a surprisingly polite and sensible conversation among the three of us (each of us recognized our mistakes and nervously laughed, more or less) and the kitten was rescued. I imagine the train driver was not happy with us, but they see that crap all the time I bet.

Driving without a steering wheel is quite possibly one of the stupid things I've ever seen someone do. On top of not being able to properly steer, it could easily turn a lower speed bump into a severe injury or a fatal accident.

The speed and the location are a factor too, it seems he only drove a couple of blocks at low speed probably only to make a video about it. Completely harmless. I've done it multiple times to readjust the wheel after steering repairs. I drive with the steering wheel opened up, locking nut removed, and to center it I drive straight and if it's off, I pull the steering wheel out from the steering axle, while driving, and put it back slightly rotated in order to center it. Obviously, around the block at 5MPH...

I can't believe that someone lied to the poor woman in the first clip and told her that she ran a red light. The clip shows she had a green light. I hope she looked at her dashcam before taking the fault!

This is on another channel and there it says that it is the guy who hit her that is claiming that she ran the red light. She did check the video and did not take the fault.

This one didn't finish for me so never really saw the outcome. But looking at this I think they were trying to break into the trailer since the crane was blocking the door. Although if the door opens inward maybe not? No idea wtf was happening except trying to pull a parked piece of heavy machinery with a sedan. :D

If you stop too close to a manual transmission car (some automatics too) and it rolls back and hits you, you are at fault for not maintaining a safe distance.

@@johnm5928 That means you don't have control of your car. How far back do you think one should stay? A car length? Two? In San Francisco I stayed a car length behind a guy in a stick going up a hill. When he tried to go forward he dropped back almost hitting mine. He had never driven in hilly areas. I got out and offered to teach him how to drive up the hill. I showed him to use the e-brake to hold the car in place until he felt the clutch grip, and then proceeded to move his car to the top. Had it slipped back any more I would have hit my own car. He thanked me and left. You can be ticketed for not having control of your vehicle. An inch or two drop back is acceptable. More than that and you are not controlling your vehicle.

@@PaulJosephdeWerk Not true at all. It is not reasonable to stop 3 inches behind someone on a hill and then try to blame them for rolling back into you. That would be your fault. Sure, a car length would be excessive. Using the e brake to start on a hill is not feasible for every car. Some have electronic e brakes. Some have pedal-operated e brakes. I challenge you 1.) to start on a steep hill without the hand brake and not roll back at least 6 inches. You won't. And 2.) to find examples of the manual car driver being ticketed for rolling back a small amount into a driver stopped inches from him on a steep hill. You won't.

@@johnm5928 I am usually back at least 6 ft. I've driven in San Francisco numerous times in both an automatic and a standard. Never once did I slip back, and that was without using the e-brake. Probably because I had good instructors in school and after. I've noticed that nowadays they don't teach much and it's mostly flat driving.

7:28 at that junction when one set of the signals was taken out by the car, all of the other signals started flashing red, it was like a warning to all other drivers that the signal system is defective. That's some clever design in the control system, we need that over here in the UK.

I think the biker panicked. Either way, kicking the windshield in was unwise, and may have led to charges/fines on the biker that wouldn't have been there otherwise.

I don't mess with 18 wheeler's or any vehicle that's bigger then my car. So i can't fathom someone's thought process in thinking they can try to get ahead or around a moving train. The lights go on and the little barrier comes down and I will wait very happily for it to pass.

There is a longer video clip on the internet showing the biker riding like an absolute idiot and a danger to others leading up to the accident. He is clearly speeding in the original clip. The car driver is not at fault and should claim extra damages from the rider.

The declutch, rev and subsequent crash is definitely down to a stupid trend in motorcycling, namely the idea that revving is a good way to make the rider noticed. This is a mistake, because pulling in the clutch takes all engine control (= bike control) away from the rider. Far better to shut the throttle and carry out an emergency braking procedure with the option of thumbing the horn button if you think it will help. Wazzing the engine really doesn't help.

It was stupid but it wouldn't have affected his bike control. Bike engines have bugger all engine braking so it would have made almost no difference to his ability to stop.

There are some drivers in the US. I just assume everyone is going to pull out in front of me and that every person on the sidewalk is going to walk out in front of me. I have been driving for 28 years and have never gotten a ticket or been in an accident.

I mean, she did hit him first as she was on her mobile phone (in the full clip you can see that). If you're going on the kicking the window - yeah, that's extreme but also PLENTY of angry car drivers do it. She's guilty of negligent driving, he's guilty of road rage as a result of her negligent driving. Her actions could have resulted in him getting severely injured or even killed (fortunately not).

From the dash cam it becomes apparent that the driver will cut him off about a second before the collision. Usually when calculating brake length you take into account a reaction time of 1-2 seconds. It may have been apparent to the biker earlier, theres no way to tell.

The motorcycle after the white van scene was cut short. The long video shows him speeding thru the streets and coming up on the car as they're turning. There was no way the driver could have avoided him.

@@mightymeaty725 Actually no, the driver was female and also she did not have a phone in her hand pause at 4:21 and you can clearly see one hand gripping the wheel and the other placed flat on the wheel, it is also good to look up the actual video that has not been cropped all to crap, while the car shares most of the blame she did have a green light, where as the biker still angry from paying parking fine to get his bike un booted was actually going over the speed limit as he raced through traffic and so had he not been speeding and paying attention to the road he might have seen a potential hazard as hell she was even indicating to turn left. So yeah while some of the blame is on the car a lot is on the biker.
