#23 - This trucker is a goddam maniac. People keep saying that cars cause accidents because trucks can't stop on a dime. Yet we constantly see videos of truckers driving their semis as if they can perform like a normal car.

But those lights right after another weren't helping either. Yes you should try to stop for a yellow light. But when you can't stop in time, and decides to proceed, who on earth would expect another one right after within a few meters?! If you are unfamiliar in the area, there is no way you can anticipate to this. Very bad road design. Still truckers both liable ofcourse.

@@alfredh2079 There's nothing wrong with the road design. Those last two light signals were synced up and you can see them from a good distance away. There are many, many places that have similar intersections with synchronized lights. Assuming that the trucker's vision is any better than the quality of his camera, he shouldn't have had an issue with seeing far enough ahead to know what was going on.

#19 That intersection seems completely confusing. We have a stopped car at the far left, but there is no stop sign for that direction (I think people were being dropped off). There is a stop sign facing the camera so this appears to be a 2 way stop, with the cross traffic having no stops and ROW. So it seems the Truck completely ran a stop sign... and main street traffic is still going. But then 2 more cars seems to just blow that same stop through that intersection like the white truck did.

It's not too uncommon from what I've seen on this channel, and others like it. My guess is that after the initial jolt of the first impact, you lose your sense of where things are at (like the placement of your feet), and just mash what you THINK is the brake pedal.

if those are standard highway lines, the two of them were going 80+ mph. Isn't the speed limit in NY 55 mph? So yeah, this was probably the tail end of a road rage incident that cammer is trying to pass off as an unsafe lane change by the SUV on his left.

The public bus driver: I don't see whats the big deal. He was backing out and saw you were coming and wanted to make sure you stopped. And you didn't. Instead you kept driving, honked and wrote a complaint when it was you who should've shown curtesy and let the bus back out safely.

That’s not really how that works. The bus doesn’t have right of way in any scenario especially since it’s backing up into a busy road. The cammer has right of way and doesn’t need to stop. The honking and complaint were unnecessary however. Hopefully the driver still has a job because that did not warrant a complaint at all.

True. But the last swerve to straddle the turn lane casts doubt, even though it was almost certainly an evasive maneuver. Once you leave your lane, you now need to give way to traffic, to prevent _unsafe lane changes._ Had the rear vehicle been entering that turn lane, the dashcammer could be seen as cutting them off. Fortunately, the vehicle didn't attempt to go around, otherwise that swerve could have potentially become problematic.

10:02 Getting the bus driver fired and blacklisted seems a bit harsh for just inconveniencing another driver, unless the bus driver has had other complaints, and this was the last straw. It is the color of a school bus but did not look like it was marked as a public-school bus just said xxxx transportation. Unless there is a company name on it that provides all Ohio school transportation. JMO.

This likely wasn't an isolated incident. I'm sure it depends on the county/state, but here, school bus drivers are not supposed to back into a road, especially not without a spotter. Informing the school of a school bus driver's mistakes is the right thing to do so that at least they can be further trained and a record of the mistake exists. I doubt they would have blacklisted this driver for this one incident. But yes, it was a bit arrogant for the cammer to do what they did.

People who lie to their insurance companies, need to have their rates jacked up even more than usual. If they lie to police, they can have fines/charges for that in some cases, so they should be similarly penalized by insurance companies. imho
