It's not that hard to figure out. Chances are are they were in a hurry to go no where, texting, bypassing traffic on the left shoulder and not watching where they were going. There was this lady a couple weeks ago that almost rear ended me because she had what I assume was a magazine blocking her vision. That's what I saw when I looked in the rear view mirror. I guess she decided to take a peek at where she was going and had to swerve to keep from hitting me in the ass end.

Here in California I had to watch a film called "Red Asphalt" as part of drivers ed. One particular scene that stuck with me is CHP officer wearing latex gloves scooping someone's brain off the road into a bucket to be sent to the coroner. If that doesn't make people safe drivers I don't know what will.

Had something similar happen once. There was construction that had a two lane road down to one lane and I was in the car with my sister stopped. This semi comes around the bend, hauling ass. Starts blaring his horn, but we couldn't fucking do anything. There are cars in the other lane and a line of cars in front of us, and in front of them is a massive hole in the ground. There's no shoulder, and off to our side of the road is a rock face. Semi ended up going into the oncoming lane and ran oncoming cars off the road (there was no shoulder there, either, but they had some flat ground to go off on). This was all right in front of a state trooper too. But man, my sister and I just braced for impact. Figured we were goners.

Now if they fck something up _there,_ they could even end up blocking emergency services trying to use it. Going offroad... Actually I don't see why it's forbidden apart from the whole potential of you managing to hit down a pole of the fence usually there to keep wild animals off the highway. If you aren't a total idiot so you don't hit any, well... not sure how many other people would choose to go offroad anyway. He does it at his own discretion.

I saw a vid recently called the Brookport Bridge. If the sound is of any indication on this video, I think losing control this easily is because of what the tires are making contact with, and that terrifies me hahaha

it's not just a regular bridge, the road is a steel mesh instead of asphalt. Our tyres aren't designed for that, the grip is much worse.

The truck was making way for the cars passing on the left, bc truck approaching in opposite lane. This is normal. He probably didn't even see the red car until the crash happened. Because why would you ever check your right mirror in that situation

As noted by many, the old dude at 3:59, well, let's be real: We'll all reach that point unless we're just plain damn lucky and drop like a rock before we get in the car. Me? I have slowed down plenty big time after seven decades, but I still try to stay the hell aware of what the car, the road, the weather & all the other idiots like me on the road are doing. Agin' ain't for wimps. And some old folks never figure out that they're not 18 any more, even if their bodies tell 'em so a dozen times a day (or at least four times a night ;-) )

My moms uncle called me out of the blue after not talking for some 15 years to tell me he was driving up (some 3 hours) for my 18:th birthday. Thing is I was 34 at the time. Had to call around and force his kids to take away his keys, apparently they knew he was pretty gone but hadn't had the heart to take the fight over him not being able to do shit like that himself any longer.

I will never understand the people who are slowly pulling into a place and then completely floor it. And don't say they mistook the gas pedal for the brake. And also the people who honk at others who are losing control of their vehicle... Like wow, I'm sure while trying to gain control of their vehicle, your honk helped. I haven't used my horn since I started driving and others act as if it's a fun button.

5:57 that happened to a friend of mine as an employee of a place like that. The woman driving her car hit the pit, bounced up and drove straight into him, then out through the garage door. He was thrown 40 feet into the middle of a main road in that area. Had a huge gash in his face that required plastic surgery to repair. Don’t let people drive their cars over these pits by themselves.

That Right Turn only one reminded me of something i saw. In the morning, about 7-8, driving to college i got behind this lady at a stop sign. Just a T intersection, cross traffic doesn't stop. She sat there for probably 15 seconds on her phone with no cars coming, then she realized someone was behind her. (At this intersection there's buildings on the corners, you can only see cross traffic when you get up to the intersection, 1 vehicle behind cant see.) She goes left, turning on her signal mid turn. I follow her to the left. She continues for 1/8 of a mile put on her left turn and starts to slow down. She then turns off her turn signal and stomps on the accelerator, probably got up to about 45-50mph in this 30mph zone. There's a bend in the road to the right about another 1/4 mile ahead. As she comes to the bend she puts on her right blinker, starts braking, then makes a left turn with her right turn signal on. I just started laughing my ass off as i couldn't believe what i just saw.

At 5:27 was crazy to me as I used to rent a townhome literally right down the street from here. This is Ashland, Virginia in Hanover County. There is so many clips just like this one. 2:41 Who is liable there? The car or the tractor? The car obviously would have had enough room if he would have simply stayed closer to the left shoulder, like anyone with common sense would do, but he technically was within his own lane when he hit the tractor. So who is at fault?

Cars fault but tractors liability. Tractor was riding his left side the best it could but its just a wide vehicle, and because of that they should have had a lead car giving warning. Now anyone with eyes can see that so the car should have slowed and hugged their left as well like the recorder did, but the car was still in its lane.

In Germany their's no speed limit on the left lane on the autobahn (german highway), and people commonly agree to flash the light to indicate that you're arriving in very high speed and you can't just hit the breaks (it's really dangerous to break above 200km/h), so in this situation the WV driver is in his all right 🤷‍♂

Ive been in a situation like this before we witnessed a vehicle on the side of the road using the white line as the middle of the lane my family and I called 911. They reported back saying she was just an older woman that shouldn’t of been driving. I’m just saying in this situation he did what he did and how do you know he didn’t call 911 before the vid? What do you want him to do pit maneuver the car? What I’m saying is it’s not his job cops should’ve been on that
