I know there’s some bad drivers out there but it still shocks me to see how many people out there have their first instinct to honk, rather than finding ways to avoid getting hit. Like you’re leaving it up to the bad driver to avoid the accident, instead of taking control of the situation and avoiding their stupidity

That's what I used to think until I tried avoiding someone reversing into me by reversing into the car behind me haha. At least I avoided the idiot, but the guy behind me didn't. This was just after I got my license, and I was driving a large panel van without rear window too, so of course I was doomed to crash. I've since been told by many that the worst thing you can do is act out of panic or reflex. You aren't responsible for other drivers stupidity, that's what insurances are for. Unless it's like a high speed or danger situation where my life is in danger, I'd avoid trying to avoid anything and just hit the horn nowadays. Easy to focus too much on what the idiot is doing while maybe missing other stuff happening around. Especially in busy European city traffic. I think this might be different in the US, but in socialist Europe people are generally always insured, even if they don't know it. It's basically impossible to operate a motor-vehicle without insurance here. I've been involved in a few minor crashes across Europe that weren't my fault and always had everything fixed within a few days. If someone is without insurance, the damages would be covered by the government (and depending on the country the uninsured driver will have to pay back missed insurance payments, or pay back the sum of damages to the treasury and receive a hefty punishment). Just wanted to point out that just because people stay put and hit their horn it doesn't necessarily mean they are stupid. If everyone would stop at once the crash has been avoided. But I understand what you mean. I just don't want to end up being "responsible" for someone else's stupidity again and want to warn people against making the same mistake.

Hi there. I lived in Springville Utah in 1983 which is just south of Provo, or about 5 miles north of Spanish Fork Canyon. In 1983, a landslide took out an entire community named "Thissle" located in the Spanish Fork Canyon. It is now nicknamed "Thissle Lake" even though it's been drained since. When the landslide took place, it blocked off the Spanish Fork river causing the town to fill with water. It is now a national monument and still has the ruins that can be seen. I've never seen any videos about this anywhere, just wondering if you can research it and do a video on it or involving it?

I agree, when I was stationed in Germany I learned how their license test works, its much harder, is done on a stick shift car and theres even a test where you have to recover from a spin in order to drive during winter. One thing I also noticed was I never saw a person use their phone while driving in Germany. Also 90% of the cars sold there are stick shift, which seems to force people to pay attention to what they're doing as well as better snow performance vs auto.
