I have a company 2024 volvo truck thats governed and i was wondering how do i keep it from shutting down? I did the 10 minute reset from the other comment and it’s still idle shutting down. Is there a way to override it?

You need to reach out to your fleet manager since it’s a parameter setting they can possibly change

How do I keep the idle shut down timer from shutting the truck down. It overrides the idle smart

Hi Ron, Try turning tablet off then the master switch off for 10 minutes, turn master switch on give two minutes then turn the tablet on and that is like doing hard restart. If issue continues reach out to fleet managers and see what they recommend. If he works for us I probably have it disabled. Only enabled as needed.

Dont leave it on all the time especially in shops the truck will start and they will not know you could hurt someone

there is safety switch to inhibit it from starting if hood is open

No, typically it's a fleet set password.

@@silchuktransport Gotcha. I was given a Volvo VNL with idle smart. The truck was in direct sunlight and the inside temp was 81 but the idle wouldn't cut in because of the outside temp setting. It's password protected so I can't change it.

@@sleepx2 Reach out to your fleet manager and they can possibly help with issue or change parameter remotely so it will work
