Fucking love this! I was a single teenage mom living in a council flat, then worked for the Civil Service for 14 yrs and became a Union Rep. Branch Secretary, Regional Young Members Rep, spoken at demos and conference. And now I’m 38 and medically fucked, numbing the pain (Physical and mental) with morphine and weed. On benefit and living back at my parents. Getting help though, with some issues but not all. I’m still here though - because of my 20 year old son. Thank you for making a song about people like me ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🖤

the verse part reminds me of a dirtier version of The Smiths 'Rusholme Ruffians' (which was, in itself, an updating of Elvis' 'His Latest Flame'). I'm pretty old, so I see this as a good thing. Along with the mighty Wonk Unit, this lot are the best British live band at the moment.
