Thank you! Fixed length clips and record enabling tracks from push were 🤯 tips. Your ability to absolutely rip on keyboard, push note controller and guitar is shocking. Came here for the live performance tutorial, subscribed to hear you play.

very cool tutorial Ian, thanks for creating this. very intuitive, and it may "push" me to get myself a push. have been trying to get by doing my live looping with a launchkeys mini, but it looks like push 2 may be a better solution. Thanks for the awesome explanation. Can you maybe show a few tricks to record, overdub or select the next clip when using a pedal? For me the workflow with the pedal is not quite clear...
@IanPriven4 жыл бұрын
I have never used a pedal with Push other than to sustain keyboard parts. I try to keep things off the floor partly because I prefer to work with minimal things to think about and also because my dog would get hair all over it.

Thanks for this, man! I've tried twice now to read through the actual manual, but have never made it through to the push 2 section. This ties up alot of loose ends for me! ..I've seen on other videos that you own a Maschine, too. I'd love to see how you've integrated it with live!
@IanPriven4 жыл бұрын
Hey Nick. I've never actually read the manual either hah maybe that's a good thing to do. Glad to help you out! I actually never owned a Maschine but you might have seen the APC40 Mark II. I sold that thing but honestly want to get another because I've been thinking of some ways it could be super helpful to use alongside the Push.

relying a bit too much on quantize for my taste, but this was a great explanation
@Arterium4 жыл бұрын
Helpful video bro. I'm a new push2 user. No one seems to have a tutorial on vocal looping which is what i'm most keen to learn. sometimes when i press fixed length it doesn't do fixed length. and how do i have all my vocal loops playing at the same time? haven't figured it out yet.
@IanPriven4 жыл бұрын
If fixed length is glowing, it will work. The vocal loops need to all be on different tracks to play at the same time. Just uploaded a new video with 10 Push 2 tips and tricks. Give it a view if you'd like!
@DudeWheresMyTom3 жыл бұрын
This was such a solid tutorial!! Question though, you prefer to end a performance with shift+stop clip, to ensure it ends smoothly at the end of the loop But whenever you tapped on an empty pad beneath a clip, it also ended them smoothly at the end of the loop so what is the difference between that and shift+stop clip? Is there also a way to end a clip abruptly at any point in the loop?
@markworthing38713 жыл бұрын
Nice tutorial man, do you quantize to the nearest 1/16?
@TheAdfk4 жыл бұрын
Great! Thank you so much! Can you do the same with push 1?
@IanPriven4 жыл бұрын
I never had the Push 1 but I'm sure a bunch of the concepts are similar
@ande0472 жыл бұрын
Damn you’re talented bro! Hey question about the push 2 that I can’t seem to find an answer to anywhere. I’ve seen videos where people have set one track for a fixed length, say two bars, then record another track on top but it’s like they push record then riff on top for a longer length, then push record again and it adapts the new riff loop to play however many bars that riff was while continuing to loop that first track at two bars. Is this like an adaptive loop length function or do you have to always set each track for a specified amount of bars prior to recording?
