Jay, at 34:34, the passage says that “in some sea turtles” correct? As per the 5th question, “sea turtles sexual anatomy is only visible after approximately ten years” which is not true for all species. Otherwise 5th question should have been started like “in some species,” . Correct me if I am wrong,please.

At the time frame, 34:31 about the #5 True, False or Not Given, the answer should be False instead. According to the question it stated as ONLY although from the passage it described as "some" species... Not given the "only" concept and this is one of the traps they usually play in the iELTS exam.

Thanks for the lesson Jay! One query: In question 5 the para says that 'IN SOME SPECIES of sea turtle the sexual anatomy is visible after a decade' while our statement says that 'sea turtle sexual anatomy is ONLY VISIBLE after approx. 10 years.' Note the capital letters here. The statement says they definitely do not appear before a decade while para says it may or may not, depending on the species. Isn't that false then?

At Minute 34:38 you are saying that answer 5 is true. I would say it is false, as in the text it says "in some species" and in the answer it says in general the sexual anatomy is ONLY visible after about ten years. For me the answer option implies that it is a general feature that is determined by nature, whereas the text explains that this only applies for some species. Am I mistaken? By the way: Thank you so much for your videos your are my hero for this month of preparation.

I agree .. but I think it should be (Not given), hence the passage clearly included the word (some species) and the question didn't include any quantitative indicators, it just said (sea turtles), in general.

I think there are should be a 100 years but not 10 years. Because a decade means a hundred years.

Hello Jay! been watching you for awhile. You're amazing. Thanks! The question 5 on the sea turtles paragraph, the essay stated "some" species, the question just said sea turtles, doesn't does affect the answer as it seems to generalise it.

I have the same question. In the paragraph, it specifically states "in some species" while the question states "... only". Technically, shouldn't the answer be false?

woooo I think so I got same passage about sea turtle when I appread IELTS Acadamic In 2017....I got 8/9 from todays reading session. Thanks for your effort I really appreciate.
