Keith, mate I still don’t understand why British Council doesn’t follow fairness in their evaluation. A student of mine who got a band of 7.5 in speaking in all three of her attempts, was awarded 6 when she improved in other modules. Applied for an EOR, nothing changed! They are playing with the life of students, their dreams and their hard-earned money. Anyways, your videos are encouraging and it helps me a lot to give important suggestions to my students to improve. Keep going 🥰

Hi Keith, I got my results yesterday. My scores were L 8.5 R 9 W 7.5 But I have a problem with my speaking :( I only got 6.5. I was too nervous that I wasn't even able to answer the questions properly. My mistake is maybe I didn't practice, I will rewatch your videos and use your practice videos :) I hope I could get at least 7 next time.

So, if I had to summarize what the examiners want (according to the band descriptors) is: -a variety of complex sentences -a variety of verb tenses (aiming to use the complex ones?) -a variety of passive forms -a variety of modals -a range of comparative forms -a range of linking words Basically, it's all about "variety "(range) of all the above structures (without being obsessed with "complex" or "simple" grammar).Am I wrong?
