I got 9 in speaking without any proper practice. The candidate just needs to be relaxed and use the vocabulary as it's emerging in his or her mind rather than forcing him or herself to say something to impress the examiner.

Hearing you guys talk with your accent kind of helped me to speak and think like you. There is that magic that I don't really know why it happens. I got to talk for far longer seconds than 20 seconds and every answer came naturally for me. The timer was a bit pressuring but helpful I guess.

Hi E2 language team, I would like to thank you and Jay,. You were of a great help. I finished my speaking test test yesterday. I started my preparation with you (I wish it was face to face though) 3days prior to the exam! I wish to add a point from my experience. During the exam, the examiner shifts from one topic to another so swiftly that we have to be very attentive to grab the key idea and speak about it! There's no scope for saying- 'how can you ask me this question because I thought we were discussing about something else!' while I was answering to something about children, she asked me if it's okay to borrow things from others! Overall, it was a good experience. Thanks Jay ☺️.

This is an excellent clear cut video about the first part of IELTS speaking. Most of the videos highlight about exaggerating the "Self intro" section like I am from bla bla town , bla bla country and the country is there in "this" part of the world for the question "where are you from". This is the first ever video on youtube which is perfect about the "actual" examination. Jay never failed to impress in any of his videos !!

Jay , I would like to thank you for what you’re doing to help IELTS takers . I’m from ´Congo and French is my first language . Hi Jay. Thank you so much for your videos. Did not use PPf and was freaking out cos I finished answering my question and there was still time but the flow and use of English was good. Scored an 8.5 in speaking, 8 in listening, 7.5 in writing and 7.5 in writing. 8 overall. I am a native English speaker from Nigeria but your tips really helped in the exam. I think that shall come automatically once you are comfortable conversing with another individual. Because that's what IELTS speaking essentially is. There is a conversation with the examiner. I suggest you practice with a partner on the variety of topics like health, sports etc. The examiner picks up a topic from the conversation with the student itself

First of all , thank you Jay and Alex . Your videos helped me in securing an overall band score of 8 in my first attempt. I had given my exams (computer delivered) last week and got my results today. Guys just follow their videos. They are really helpful. This above video is just too good. That's exactly what happens inside. So just practice n be confident.

Thank you! I am Ainur from Kazakhstan, getting ready for my General IELTS Exam. I was nervous at the beginning but after couple questions and answers I have calmed. As regards to my vocabulary hmm, I could do better, I used simple words (I try to use simple words), correct tenses but I need practice, practice and practice! Have a good weekend ahead!

Good tips. Remember the test is a DEMONSTRATION of your abilities. Don't simply speak as you would normally do. You have to show yourself in the best light, so use your best vocabulary and grammar.

Hi Jay, I have been following your channel for quite a while now. it's the best in terms of everything. You have the best skills to teach as you have a very intriguing style to organise and prioritize the tasks. I took my computer based IELTS on 1st May 2019 and was very confident of getting very good scores as it went really well exceeding the level of my expectations. However; my results from British council say the story otherwise. My scores are L=8.5, S=7.5, W=6.5, R=4.5. it came as a shock to me as my reading can't be that low and i had enough time to revise at least twice or thrice before submission the computer based exam. For that matter itz hard for me to believe my scores for writing as well. I am a Clinical Psychologist by Profession and i got the topic related to my Profession so even though i know they mark the writing part quite strictly but i should at least have scored minimum 7-7.5. Pls advise whether i should go for a re-evaluation. can this be a scam sorts?

I really have to thank Jay for my recent speaking test scores. I have taken 2 tests in the past but always stuck at 6 for speaking. My recent speaking was 7.5 after I prepared my test according to the tips in your videos. Really, I can’t express enough how thankful I am.
