I really like the way you simplify complex concepts. You turn them understandable and wonderfully easy to put into practice. I would like to add a personal experience that perhaps could help somebody when learning a new language. It is very simple but powerful at the same time. When I was a little boy I used to listen to adult conversations. I was not really interested in what they were saying, since my only purpose was to translate their sentences into the language I was learning (I tried to do it simultaneously). I also used to jot down some of the new words on a little notebook (which I called jotty). It turned out to be quite a challenging and useful experience.

I had my IELTS exam yesterday and In my speaking task 1, we talked about what kind of a house I live in. In task 2, in my cue card, I was asked to describe a person who dresses unusually. In task 3, we talked about clothes and what clothes Indians wear to workplace .

This is my method. I pick a word I know , but I have trouble using . I look it up in the Oxford collocation dictionary , which is available in the form of an app . The next step is categorize things . For instance , you're studying " promote " and you see the words" film " and " movie " so you write them near each other . There may be some nouns that aren't so relevant to each other , but it's ok . Those words can have their own category and I put them in the "irrelevant" category . You keep doing it until you finish analyzing" promote" . Once you're done , you'll come back for review after a couple of days. And here's how to review . Just read what you've analyzed and written out loud. Continue to do it as many times as you can . You could record yourself on your phone while doing it . You can listen to the recording on the go. Also , from time to time look again at your notes and play back the recording.

The Cambridge dictionary is of immense help. Sometimes it tells you the level of a word. For example , throwing in the towel is a C2 level idiom.

Here is sharing one more way to practice the vocals and reinforce my own learning. Sometimes I pick up on words from native speakers and compare them to what I’m using now, noticing what the difference is and reflecting the context. Ofc, most of times, their expression is much more natural and conversational than mine. Afterwards, once I come across any circumstance to use these words, I’ve got more choices. That doesn’t mean what I used to convey with was necessarily wrong. Actually this way serves to me as a means to acquire more synonyms and build up my lexical flexibilities. For some examples, try to-> attempt to, prefer to ->tend to/be inclined to, use-> apply, and so on. 😊

First of all he talks naturally and looks like as if he is just having a conversation with the viewers. Doesn't look like boring lectures. Covered wide range of vocabulary in different videos and because of his way of emphasizing the words it's easy to remember. And many more. If you really want to improve then you should also go through all the videos. Every teacher has something different. Try to learn from everyone

Thanks for the informative and interesting video sir. I would like to ask you about the difference between the two tests of IELTS and TOEFL. Does it make a big difference and affect our scores if we mix up between the British and the American English since there are some differences concerning grammar, vocabulary, meaning and pronunciation or should we commit to either ?
