Hello Teacher Liz. Your videos are very helpful. Specially I feel very comfort to hear the words you pronounce.
@infooshada Жыл бұрын
While "wanna" is a common contraction used in informal spoken English to represent "want to," it is advisable to avoid using it during the IELTS speaking test. The IELTS test assesses your ability to communicate effectively in formal English, and the use of contractions like "wanna" may be considered too informal or colloquial. It's best to use standard English and avoid slang or overly casual language in order to demonstrate your language proficiency.
@ieltsliz Жыл бұрын
This is 100% incorrect. The IELTS speaking test is actually informal and contractions such as "wonna" give you a higher pronunciation score. Don't get confused with the writing test which is based on formal English, except for informal letters for the GT test.

I got a question Liz. when the examiner is asking me : "do you have an E-book?"what should be my answer? should I talking about the device or book that I can download from the websites like PDFs !!!
@ieltsliz2 жыл бұрын
In this question, the examiner is asking about en e-book, not a device. However, you are not being marked on your understanding of the question so if you misunderstand, it's fine. The question would more likely be: Do you often read e-books? With this question, you can answer in a number of ways and mentioning devices is something that can pop up quite naturally as you will see below: 1. Yes, actually I do. I find they are really convenient because I can read them whenever and wherever I want. I can also store thousands of e-books on my device which gives me loads of options no matter where I am. 2. Yes, I do. They are so much more useful than paper books and cheaper as well. I've got quite a lot of them stored on my kindle. 3. Yes, I do. They are so much cheaper than paper books. I recently bought a collection of 50 classic novels for less than a dollar. 3. No, I don't. I don't really like the feel of holding an e-book device like a kindle so I mainly read paper books. I know they are less convenient, but I prefer them. The examiner isn't really interested in whether you read e-books or not. All questions are just a way of getting you to speak and of getting you to demonstrate your level of English.
