The expected salary was $1000; he said $1000 or $1200, but the lady wrote only $1000.

no, he said whatever is normal range ,1000 or 1500, but the lady wrote 1200. so, 1200 is correct one.

This answers very short because task says three words, i knwo three words no need any questions but this question most answers 2 or 3 words base.
