We played this in college, about 20 years ago.. Very beautiful piece. The fellow that did the piano part for us was amazing!

Liebe Ieva, wäre der Begriff in der Musik geläufig, könnte man C.M. von Weber einen Impressionisten nennen. Er konnte Stimmungen und Eindrücke auf eine besondere Art in Musik umsetzen. Virtuosität ist nur eine der Voraussetzungen, um seine Kompositionen darzubieten. Du hast sein Konzertstück auf eine mitreißende Art mit Leben gefüllt. Es hat mich in meinem Innersten tief berührt. Wow, Ieva, it seems that you learned quite much at the Conservatorium. Watching this video looks like a truly much rehearsal was needed to learn this grand piano part in the piece. Actually, I will have to enter that Conservatorium Maastricht to play some jazz if tuned with software development, that would be a great idea.

Vielen Dank für diese Aufnahme. Ich liebe dieses Konzert und das ist wirklich eine tolle Aufführung mit dieser mir bisher unbekannten Pianistin. Warum die meisten großen Pianisten bzw. Klaviervirtuosen um dieses äußert effektvolle Stück Musik einen Bogen machen, don't know. Sind es die immensen Anforderungen an Geläufigkeit, Reaktionsschnelligkeit, Sprungsicherheit und rhythmische Prägnanz, vor denen sie zurückschrecken? Auf jeden Fall ist dies hier eine dem Stück würdige und temperamentvolle Aufführung und eine Freue zuzuhören und zuzuschauen, danke Ieva.

it used to be on the repertoire of many great pianists and then ,for unknown reason, it completely disappeared somewhere in the sixties, early seventies. Excellent performance this, thank you so much
