Just don’t watch S4 and the second half of S3. S1/2/5 are all great especially 1 and 5.

(Spoilers up to S6-E9?) The relationship felt like it came out of nowhere in the first place but I've just accepted it at this point. The way it was handled in Series 5 and the beginning of 6 laid a groundwork of tension, making it believable when they did eventually get back together (so while it may have come about forcibly and been poorly handled in the past, I think it's at a stable state at this point). That's my experience anyway. Also, Series 3 has been my favourite so far so their relationship obviously didn't ruin that much for me back then and while I thought Series 4 was a big step down, I put that down to Damien Darhk and the overuse of magic (I think 'Arrow' works best when the fantasy element is vague and limited like the the Lazarus Pit).

The relationship works now in S6. It's believable and doesn't take priority over the plot. For some reason though in the crossover, it was prioritized over almost EVERYTHING ELSE.

Most lesbian I know instantly knew they were a lesbian. I'm in my 30's and girls in elementary and high school clearly knew they were lesbians. Alex is bi in my opinion. Being you don't have to go through a ton of guys to know you're into women. In her case its more of preference then her being a lesbian. I think the sex with the better character attracts her. She just seems confused. Being she was struggling with the idea of being gay at first. It seemed like she was just being thrust into it. Instead of actually originally desiring it like Sarah. Thus I feel Alex is more bi then her being a lesbian. I still think she likes both but will settle for either or.

There is no confusion as to what their sexual preference is or wondering what comes next. Being Alex thought it was okay to give up her beliefs on having kids because she thought it was to be expected when getting in a lesbian relationship, because her partner didn't also want to have kids. Do you not see how that's very odd behavior. Being it looked like she was going with the flow of being in a lesbian relationship. Instead of just looking at it as a relationship in general. Also, you can see she jumped the gun on trying to get married. It just looks like she was over compensating or trying just way too hard to prove something. You're 16. Can you say you lowered your values and personal interests just to pursue your lesbian relationship, or did it all just feel natural to you like any other relationship once you were in it. Does Alex behavior seems like a person trying to be something or a person who knows what they are? Being that at 16 you are a teenage trying to figure out who you are but eventually come to terms with it. Yet Alex is literally a full on Adult past her hormonal stages. Yet works at a huge agency where she has to process complicated situations. Do you truly believe she couldn't gather till then she was also into women? Being she literally jumped back at being kissed for the first time by a woman and said she had to work her way into it. Thus does that not show you that she is literally more bi then a lesbian? Being that you don't just have to be gay or a lesbian. Some people are just bi and just prefer the character of one of the sex that intrigues them the most. Hence why I don't think Alex is a full blown Lesbian. I just think she's just dabbling in the other field for a bit. Kind of like how Penguin was in Gotham. Bi people do exist and that's why I think she is. I don't get lesbian vibes from her.
