there's just so much lately that they've banned over the years... like motorsport, The bikes have to be almost the same, the tech they use, there's weight limits for the bike and rider, helmet rules, JERSEY rules, SOCK rules, GLASSES rules... So pretty much yes but no..😂

Honestly the UCI needs a competitor. Or a complete internal overhaul. I understand the value of tradition, but some things are just darn unreasonable. I can understand some rules like requiring a bike to be a certain shape (nothing like the Cervelo P5X allowed for instance - or else the bikes become less and less like their original inspiration) and so on. Or, we just do away with those rules entirely when it comes to Time Trials. Anything goes, and the smartest manufacturers and teams gain the advantage. But there also need to be some rules I think in regards to alcohol consumption, fan behavior, etc. Over regulation is obviously a bad thing, but how can we make the races a bit less of a hazard for the racers? There's always going to be risk (as well there should) but we don't want to lose good riders like Tony Martin, and we want the format to stay classic in some ways at the same time.
