Allah is the most merciful!! There's no doubt about that. You shouldn't question the mercy of Allah. He encompasses knowledge of all that has happened in our present,past and future. If he says Hell exists then in his infinite wisdom there's a highly respectable reason for that. Thank you.

God doesn't put people into hell fire, people choose to go to hell fire. With each breath ♥️ of life people are given the chance to reflect on the purpose of life, to accept the mercy of God and to repent. The day of judgment people will be there own judges, their own body parts will be witnesses against them. Everyone, please, read Quran thoroughly. May Allah swt forgive us and give us the best Dunya wal akhirah

Subhanallah. This was enlightening. In this dialogue, u can see how the state of hypocrisy can lead a person to ruin. Why is it that when it comes to accountability we, human beings, want to be lenient with ourselves but willing to go full throttle (with justice) when the verdict is for another? If someone breaks into ur home kills, rapes, and pillages ur loved ones; u would want the most severe and lower depths of Hell for them. But if the offender is our own selves, we want an escape goat or a self soothing mechanism to let us know it's gonna be alright. In this life alone, no need to mention the next, u cannot do the least and fairly expect to receive the most. Even when our children do wrong we hold then accountable right...? So in the very next life when Allah (swt) decides to take u to task with love and affection or justice befitting ur circumstances; what is the problem people are having with being accountable for what they knowingly committed. At the very minimum even if u don't have Islam, you at least know the difference between right and wrong, good and bad, fair and unjust. And at the end of the day, these options listed in the prior sentence, have to be selected in a decision-making process. So why would one struggle with accountability. I understand we are not perfect but there is repentance for that as well.

There are vicious people who believe they are entitled to owning everything including human beings.

JUDGMENT is necessary for both those striving to be like God and those endeavoring to be whom they please. God rewards and/or punishes us eternally,. hence, HEAVEN is the everlasting home for those who behaved as God desired on earth. HELL is the forever home of those who rejected God's acceptable behavior while on earth. When God says vengeance is mine, I will repay. HELL is prepared to exert the FULL WRATH OF GOD on UNLOVING and UNRIGHTEOUS SOULS, FOREVER and EVE. after death MERCY plays out, and JUSTICE plays in.✍️

Assalamualaikum Deepest respect to our learned and spiritually inclined brother and our compassionate interviewer. This discussion of Heaven and Hell leans very much on the logic, intellectual capacity and learning of the scholar being interviewed. The question to ask is if it is possible for the sensory brain mind to apprehend realities of the Unseen. At best this online discussion is intended to placate the minds of listeners about the issue of Hell and how it can be reconciled with the notion of a Most Merciful God that can deliver this Infinite punishment to people. This answer itself would be in 2 parts as it spontaneously unfolds in my mind.. I must mention that as compared to the pious Ustaz being interviewed, Im a most unqualified person to deliberate on this lofty subject. Heaven and Hell are realities of the Next World that defies Cranial Brain assessment. It is a subject that only the Heart can apprehend as it relates to a Supersensory Reality that logic can only guess and approximate. There is a Quranic Verse that I have memorized which states: "Verily i have created man of the Highest Stature but he has been reduced to the lowest of the Low." There are consequences of "fallen men" and Islam teaches redemption and following the Path of the Love of Allah as prescribed by Holy Prophet saw. In a sacred Hadith, Holy Prophet saw stated " If you want to Love Allah, follow me and Allah SWT would love you." Love seems to be the ultimate remedy against the benighting of the Heart which leads to the torment called Hell. It is real. There are degrees of knowing according to al Ghazali. This is a simplified generalization. There is ilm al Yaqin ( conceptualization of Truth) Ain al Yaqin ( witnessing of Truth.. more experiential) and Haqq al Yaqin ( superior witnessing by being immersed in Trutn) There are people with such degrees of Truth among us. Yet they would never share their most profound Witnessing with us as they will never court publicity or have a need to boost their reputations. As the late Maulana Abu Bakar ( Allah bless him) would say in Malay " saya makan durian, awak boleh rasa ke" If i describe the taste of a durian, can my description enable you to actually taste the durian. It cant. The same logic applies in the pithy saying "the proof of the pudding is in the eatiing" We can explain the reality of Heaven and Hell in a conceptual mannar and even refer to sacred verses with some preferred interpretation. This can be an endless task and a "hit and miss" operation. I would say the mind speculates, but the Heart knows. Islam is born out of the Holy Prophet's sacred experiences of the Divine, but today it has become an outward theological and academic culture. Imam Ghazali's classification discussed earlier that i render into "knowledge of fire" (ilm al yaqin) " the seeing of fire ( Ayn al Yaqin) and the total immersion into Fire ( Haqq ul Yaqin) or Maarifat. This leads one ancient Sufi to comment " Islam is in the books and Muslims are in the graves." I would add "Islam is strongly online and the Heart has gone offline." Yet the person who is bringing this up ME, may be more bound for Hell than others reading. Im appealing to His Mercy to not cast me into Eternal Hell, so i share this in a little effort to find redemption. Hell is not a metaphor but a reality of the Unseen. There are many ways in which Allah can bestow a person with a deeper understanding of Hell.. one way is through dreams. I will relate this later. Ok . We need to clarify if Hell is eternal or does it mean a a seemingly endlesd period of Time? If scholars of Quranic Arabic can check on whether the term "Hell" signifies Eternity or actually describes a very long period. Only Allah SWT is Eternal.

I am not Moslem; but this discussion is of interest in many theologies that include a just God and the character of his mercy. God is attributed to be just and merciful; but never unjust. Fear God and keep his commandment; his commandment is to love one another. Peace.

Allah is all merciful. Allah is all just. And his justice overides his mercy.

If the justification for eternal Hell is Allah's knowledge of what they *would* do, then it means they are eternally punished for something they haven't *actually* done eternally.

If you think about teachers, if a teacher has too much Rahma (love and care)then the students would take advantage of the teacher and do whatever they want knowing the teacher has rahma and won’t get mad. If the teacher is too mean and strict, yes the kids will follow the orders but they won’t love the teacher. You see, Allah (SWT) balanced himself by being Ar-Rahman on one hand and also “Maaliki - yawmideen” on the other hand. This way, we love Allah (SWT) but also fear His punishment

I do this myself “Should I continue doing this door knocking. I have seen great results people are becoming Muslim left to right. My main concern is family and friends are telling me this is very dangerous but the fact is it is not at all.

Are they religiously committed out of fear or are they religiously committed out of love?

The fact that we are so small is irrelevant simply because the creation of the smallest thing in creation and the largest simply Be and it will Be. Allah (swt) made us his representatives on this planet and gave us a life time to repent and return to Him (swt), and to me if we can not understand our purpose through our life we deserve the punishment and if Allah (swt) doesn't punish those who spent their life in sin or basically against the will of the One who created them that would be unjust for those who followed Allah's guidance. As a believer I trust Allah's Justice, Mercy, kindness and balance and the fact that He made it so easy to get to heaven.

Salamu Aleycom, I’m a revert Alhamdullah. Both my parents have a big problem with hell being created and much more with hell being eternal. SubhanAllah I’ve never read this explanation on hell, I wish I had before. Oh, my patents are JW’s my father almost an elder my mother non practicing separated for thirty years now. I know their religion prohibits divorce, I just now came to me this must be the reason they never got legally divorced. I pray they both are guided to Islam. Is there a way to translate these videos to Spanish. Why are so many of these beneficial videos not translated to Spanish and Arabic?! Do you I have any idea how many more people you’d reach. When the souls return back to the other side, they are judged based on what they have done. Whatever things a soul did in this world will affect the soul and its station (rank). The other side is where the "state of being" of a soul becomes apparent, that state is perpetual and based on the soul station. It is not surprising that those who earned a lot of sins would have themselves be in a state of perpetual misery later, a negative retribution for what they have done, while those successful, will experience something opposite, i.e. blissful state of being

One way of answering why Allah is most merciful yet creates hell fire. We all agree parents are most merciful towards their children. Yet they punish their children. If not, how would these grow up? As children we resent such punishment, but when we’re grown up we understand why we were punished and are actually very grateful for those punishments. Likewise imagine there were no prisions, wouldn’t societies be in chaos? Teachers are merciful towards their students yet they fail the exams of those who don’t study. Imagine teachers from the start say all students will pass their exams. How many will actually make the effort and study. Will have enough educated people to run an efficient and smooth society? Human nature needs incentive and deterrence ie the carrot and the stick. Going back to Allah, imagine there was no hellfire, how many people would desist from committing harm in their lives and thus make the lives of others a misery? For some people even prison isn’t enough to deter them but hellfire would. For desires are so strong that if there was no eternal hell fire, some people would still commit crimes with the thought “my punishment is transitory anyway, I eventually end up in paradise.” Human nature is complex and different people think and operate differently, but you only need one criminal to strike fear in the many, eg a rapist or pedophile in a neighbourhood. And if there were no eternal hellfire, multiply that one criminal with 1000s and the neighbourhoods in the multi-1000s. People need deterrents and the strongest ones for the worst crimes. And disbelief is a strong crime against God. Why would God offer you his paradise if you don’t even acknowledge him? Illogical no? The belief in God is necessary so you fear the eternal hellfire and not commit the crimes that put the rest in danger. Just see how broken western societies are despite the claim of being scientifically advanced, being law abiding, respect for human rights etc (all false claims btw, but that’s another topic). If they feared God, would they have these broken societies, would they have killed 2 millions Iraqis/afghanis etc….would hitter kill 6 millions Jews?

I think the confusion lies where G-d created us to solely worship Him but He does not need our worship. It makes no sense in being created for a purpose G-d has no need for, we are told no He does not need your worship but you do. But if you think logically you would not need to worship if you werent created in the first place, seems like a circular argument. Its unconscionable that you would be created for a purpose the Creator has not need for and the only reason you have a need for it in the first place is because you were created. Then as a result of the Creator having no need for your praise or worship, will punish you for a thing He is needless of and pointless. Seems hard to comprehend.

I think it's much easier. The hellfire comes not from Allah but from ourselves. What's torturing those in jahannam is their own guilt, not Allah. Have you ever felt the terribly burning fire in yourself after you committed zina or some other serious sin? I believe that's just the fire of hell. And it is not coming from Allah but from our own guilt.

If God is so merciful then why does God still have hellfire to punish? Simple question simple answer: God does not force anyone into Hades/hell It is our choice alone to be there. Because we sin. Not because He puts us there. It's sin that sends us there. Because we WANT to sin. Because we want to be in charge of our own lives. With God in our lives, we cannot steal. Cannot lust. Cannot do wrong in any way. With God in our lives He is in control not us. Fear God. For He is the creator of the universe and we are part of it. God does not force anything on us. He gives us free will. Choices. We can either accept Him or not. When we accept Him our lives change astronomically supernaturally It is our choice whether to sin or not. Allah? There is no Allah. There is only God. His son Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Jesus died for my sins and YOURS. If Allah was God, then how are our sins forgiven? For God is Holy. He is the Almighty? He is the creator. How would our sins be taken away? Something, someone, HAS to pay that debt! Allah? He won't! He's too busy being Allah to worry or care about THAT specific problem. God doesn’t know we are going to sin. Man is fallen and by definition corrupted. We are sin. Jesus became sin to save us. By faith in Jesus he takes our sin, shame, and guilt, and gives us his innocence. He was our substitute sacrifice, paying the price that we could not pay. God repented that he made man on the earth under Satan’s influence, and took his judgment upon himself by sending his Son to die in our place.
