Our airline uses PIVOT mounts. The iPad fits into an ipad holder which has a moulded quick mounting point on the back, so it's the holder which clicks in and out. Solid connection, easy to grab iPad, good swivel mount on the aircraft.

Stefan, I recommend the Quad Lock mount system, it uses a quarter turn to connect, holds securely, and the mounts can be attached to the dash/fascia/trim with good double-sided tape, and/or a small screw. I use it in my 4WD and it holds securely even on the roughest outback tracks

I'm a recreational pilot about to begin some CTA training to work towards a PPL and I'm nervous about taking down all those clearance details. I noticed at 4:00 you had a system in your notes (C-R-A-F-T), was wondering if you could share what it means and any other tips you had? Dude get a pivot case. It’s the best thing I’ve gotten for myself. You can mount it and dismount it very quickly. And they have various mount styles so you can snap it to your knee, up on your windshield in seconds. Very convenient. Also has a nice way to grip your Apple Pencil so it can’t get knocked off in turbulence.

Completely unrelated to this, but I was watching your coverage of the air show in france from a couple of months ago and you were talking about the B1-B being super loud on a low fly-by and it reminded me of footage I have from the Avalon air show in 2011 of a B1, that we didn't know was going to be there, showing up after all the scheduled displays when I happened to be standing quite close to the runway. It did a low fly-by (can confirm how loud they are) and then came back around and landed right in front of me. Was actually quite nostalgic going back and watching.

@migupl Aussie ATC here. If we get a foreign registration we use the full callsign on first contact and then abbreviate it to the first letter and last 2 letters/numbers. Australia had just run out of 3 letter registrations so they have introduced numbers into the rego after the VH. It's taking a while to get used to that.
