Love the song and love the musical

That was a gorgeous video! And the song suited them so perfectly. Though Christine chose Raoul, she never, EVER regrets the wonderful, beautiful moments she had with Erik. And Erik, though he hated to let her go with Raoul, he knew that Christine will always have him in her heart and he finally found he was not alone in his pain and loneliness. And just like John Smith said in the movie, Erik "would rather die tomorrow than live 100 yrs without knowing her."

I think the tragedy of it all is that Christine's love for the Phantom was but a shadow and oft misplaced pity. She feels responsible for him, and is aware that she is inextricably tied to his happiness. While he is a product of his environment, having known only cruelty and being subsequently warped, Christine cannot redeem him, nor can music, nor, indeed, can murder and subterfuge. A pitiful creature, he without love, the Phantom is denied lasting contentment: his heart is poisoned.

I'm crying rn lol one of the songs from Pocahontas fits me and Chaz so perfectly and as I was listening to it I pictured me and Chaz dancing on our wedding day happy as can be and both of us crying as we danced because despite all of life and society's efforts to tear us down we made it. No matter how many people got in our way or tried to tear us apart we made it. We fought for what we wanted and we won. I honestly don't know where I'd be without him being there. I don't know if I would be dead, alive, or even more scarred up internally and externally. I have checked no idea. But I do know that I am so damn thankful to have him. I couldn't see me with anyone else like how I see me with him. I'm legit breaking down in happiness rn. This hasn't happened before!

They stuck with the book, in which the Phantom (Erik) is actually a living corpse. He's literally decaying in front of her, and she's always loved Raoul. And Erik is insane... Which I don't blame him, because you learn of a different past than that portrayed in the musical.
