Top 5 for me (probably would be). 1. Fender Stratocaster with birdseye maple neck finished in candy apple red. Hardtail. 2. Fender Telecaster with rosewood fingerboard finished in white/blonde with rosewood fingerboard. 3. Gibson les paul in trans Amber with zebra style humbuckers (Seymour/dimarzio). 4. Gibson 335 in cherry red with crown inlays. 5. Gibson sg in white. Crown inlays. ❤

Last year a guitar shop let me play every Les Paul they had. About 20 of them including a Murphy Lab. Only 2 bonded with me: a 50’s GoldTop with the thick neck and the Tribute. Obviously completely different, but the Tribute felt more like my Telecaster which I love.

Oh John, you've got me thinking.........o.k so here we go, GIBSON: an SG standard complete with (lightly) scalloped fretboard, or not as extreme as an Yngwie strat scallop job, with a Floyd Rose trem, (and NO neck dive!!!). FENDER: a 70's strat with three humbuckers! and with a Kahler trem (don't ask me why, it just sounds right). IBANEZ: A Steve Vai Jem in translucent acrylic, like the old Dan Armstrong guitars, with two humbuckers, and a bridge piezo pickup, (weird, right?) GIBSON (again), an exact copy of Brian May's Red Special,...nuff said. And finally, any guitar manufacturer who produces a guitar (any guitar) that is reliced to an inch of its life. It must look like it was made in Tudor times! Phew, I am going for a lie down now...good night.

Dream guitar? 2, actually. A Gibson Les Paul Gold Top with P90s and nary a pickguard in sight! Oh, and weight-chambered down to 7.5 lb. I'm getting old, eh.

I'd get Fender to make me a Custom Shop Time Machine 59 esquire but with an SD mini humbucker in the neck , oil city hardman in the bridge and an 83 style bridge in .white blond A Gibson Les Paul Tribute with Mini Humbuckers. Guild M 20 in Bright Red Schecter Banshee bass Lakland Geezer Butler Bass

I'd go to Jet in wherever they're made, just to upset folks & ask them to up the QC a tad, as they're already pretty good. Maybe open the box in country of sale for setup & sell 'em for $300....

I would ask for things I don’t have,sooff the top of my head: Like an Epiphone Casino/Gibson ES-330 with fancy wood and a killswitch Fender 12 string Jazzmaster in the same finish as my Mustang with Black plastic and vintage tuners National biscuit resonator, wood body, with P90 and piezo with blend knob Ibanez SRH fretless with regular pickup and piezo, with blend knob Gibson Keb Mo signature style with cedar top and walnut sides & back

i'd probably stick with my ibanez ar325Q. it does everything i want a guitar to do. i think i would ask meda boogie to undiscontinue the trans atlantic 30. i would play through that, and just mic it
