Everybody talks about old age victims, bt no one talks about the mental torture that some youth goes through by parents. I feel I am one of them. Careless father, very good mother, but mother imposes her decisions on us. My wife keeps mum only because of me. I give my parents everything a modern educated son can give, but they don't value this. When I discuss with frnds to stay away from them in a new house while giving them their regular expenses, I am targetted as being selfish. Anybody before lecturing me just try to understand my situation where parent blackmail of being old and impose their decisions and threaten to go out of home if I speak anything.

Earlier I never used to believe it but after stuck in my hometown during corona, I started to believe in it. I saw many parental abuse first hand. First. My neighbour aunt is currently facing such situation from her own son and daughter in law. I used to had sympathy but not anymore. This same aunty teacher her daughter ways to control her husband. My own friend wanted to play basketball as profession. He went past nationals into sgfi. His father beat him up. Didn't allow him. Forced him to enter engineering college. Now he have 7-8 backlogs. One of my seniors k1lled himself. He got a package of 6 lackhs. His parents were not satisfied with any package less than 20 lpa. Log kya bolenge ki sirf 6 lpa he. There are many more abuses. Beating with belt, cloth hanger, cricket bat. I guess the same abuses are now returning. Now, my father and my oldest uncle took care of my grandpa in his old age. I saw that. I know I will take care of my parents when they will grow old. My middle uncle used to abuse my grandpa and never looked after him in his old age. Now his sons are abusing him too. Karma will hit you back. Never understood this back. But thanks to quarantine period in my hometown i saw all these. Karma will come back. It won't leave you. If it can't hit you physically, it will hit you mentally. So, old people are just getting back what they deserve. Earlier I used to have sympathy but not anymore. This 60 years old guy and his family illegally captured land of a guy who have less numbers in his family 10-15 years back in my neighborhood. Similarly many old guys did tons of sins. Krishna told everything happens by his discretion. Abusers getting abused now is also his doing. Who am I to say what is right or wrong.

Once when I went to a bank, outside a very old woman was sitting selling small items like pens, combs , water filters etc. I purchased some items in order to help her though I did not need it. I was thinking as to why she had to attempt to earn at such an old age. Now in this video i got some answers. Every old person may not be in an old age home but some of them might be suffering like this either staying on streets or become a slave in their own homes.

There is huge differnce between old age homes and care centers. There are situations where old poeple have multiple health issues which need special medical attention. Family members are not trained for nurcing for such patients. Additionally, In modern times all the young family members go out for jobs and career, they cannot stay at home 24 by 7 and take care of old person who is bed ridden. Furthermore, old people need company from same age people they have specific habits and needs which cannot be fulfilled nowadays. Tell me one thing, You need to go out for earning and better life, Is it possible for you to lock an old person at home for whole day alone? In such a cases, Care centers are innovated. In old times, Farming was main income sources, there was joint family culture. Old people were having amazing fitness at the age of 70- 80. Now the times has changed, People need to go out far away for income Old people are having lot of deseases (diabetes, cansor, heart problems, etc.) Family are nuclear, Single child or 1 or 2 child need to bear medical expenses and old people other than family expences. There is always other side of coin. Solution - Government should introduce FREE medical facilities for senior cityzens. low cost / FREE Care centers must be available in every district.

There are exception in every situation, But nobody lives the loving and caring person just like that. We feel sad after watching old people in old age home. No body knows the exact history , how they behaving with family in younge age, how was thier behaviour in the family. I saw a man in old age home who sold all property because of his drinking habits. I also saw a man who tried to abuse his daughter in law in grandchild. (inapproprietly) I saw a women who was having psycological problems and used give verbal abuse to every people in front of her. How can a young family live happily with such people??? Just imagine if some gen z social worker visit old age home and look at the poor face of such people. he will definately blaim the family of these old people without knowing whole story. world is much more complicated than it seems to be.

Government must bring some law such as the property will not transfer to son if they are not care for their parents. campaigns must be organised in local government level to check their status. But some parents are not good, they don't treat their daughter in law like their own daughter rather tourcher them. So this is also an important reason of this kind of problem
