In my opinion why theres no peace, is simply put, land. Israel wants it, and no one has taught it it cant get what it wants. Even today after the ICJ ruling it pretty much said NO, and bombed rafah. Palestinian were nice, they tried to get peace, they put down their weapons which looking back is a mistake. Cause in Lebanon we kept fighting and took back our land. Well most of it.

Hamas has actually accepted multiple put forward - every single one was rejected by Israel - Israel said that if it prevents them from invading Gaza or Rafah - Hostages or not, peace deal or not, they don't care, so long as Israel can invade Gaza and Rafah - Israel talks about the hostages and that hamas has been using palestinians as a human shield, but the thing is, for example, if a robber takes ur purse and then goes into someone elses home - the police don't respond by bombing the entire area now do they? The thief along with everyone around (the thiefs "human shields") are dead, ur not getting ur purse back - the police would probably send in a special task force and have everyone surrounding the area evacuate if he's a danger to everyone and tackle it that way. You don't know why there's been no peace for decades? Look at the Palestinian map before 1947, in 1947 , in 1967, and then look at today's map.. you'll get it then.

We cannot come to an agreement because 2/3 of the world's Palestinian population are now living outside their homes. Most of us come from what is currently called israel, but it's only possible through our displacement. So while we want to return to our land - no the West Bank and Gaza are NOT my land. They're my country but I don't come from there, I come from the Galilee - we can't return with this system in place. We cannot agree to give them pieces of land they forcefully took from us. That's rewarding the robber just cause he managed to hold on to it for a few decades - and that' what it is: A few decades. We have elders who still remember their violent displacement, and many of those survivors who are now in Gaza have said that this year is even WORSE than when they were young. So no, there's no coexistence with colonizers, cause that's what they are. It can't be compared to the civil rights movement, instead you can compare it to the Native Americans vs the pilgrims and their descendents. It's not about our religion, it's about STOLEN land. We know what we're fighting for. This isn't a "grudge".
