@@dominicfucinari1942 "Nothing I've heard out of the manosphere or incel community has been convincing." And nothing I have heard from various claims of "oppression" has been convincing. Here's a hint. In the context of plastic surgery, if women were being oppressed (as per the sales pitch) it would be men bringing the women in to have the procedures done. And if women were treated as mere property (as the oppression olympics attempts to claim) there could be no such thing as an incel. The very fact that you use the term shows you don't really think women are oppressed. It's just a convenient narrative.

Not sometimes - most of the time. Plastic surgeons are physician surgeons of the skin, muscle, fat and more. They restore functionality to limbs and even reattach them, reconstruct body parts after severe injuries, can operate on fine muscles and tendons such as those in the hand, treat burn victims, and more. I really wish people would more often make a clear difference between regular plastic surgeons and cosmetic plastic surgeons.

can confirm, botox for TMJ and horrendous migraines were a complete game changer. Shocked me when Neurology pitched it to me saying all the hollywood people who went for botox found the side-effect was relieving tension-based migraines. I get it about every 3 months, paid for by Medicare, and thank god, as my headaches were making me vomit. Big game changer at the time.

@@sneak9407 Nope. Not sarcastic. They even inject in Jaw for the TMJ to release the muscle clenching. it was so bad at one point I broke a tooth. It does help. Including for migraines that cause pulling in my neck muscles. You need to get a referall to a neurologist, but it's mostly only useful for tension-caused headaches, where muscle pulling/spasms lead to the migraines. A neck injury led to this on me, and caused the issues I got botox for. Look it up, about botox being used for migraines. And medicare will make a case, if a neurologist does the consultation and recommends it. Over time, you'll need it less and less, as eventually muscles will settle down and stop pulling as much as well. Just get to a neurologist with a referall and get a consultation. Regarding strokes, I actually have an anuyrism and my dad has had mini-strokes, but for me, no strokes yet. Just neuro-damage, plus several TBI's My latest I'm currently dealing with, sadly now invoked a spinal injury from a car accident I'm fighting to regain my life over. It's bad enough, I hit medical leave last week as I cannot work while my right leg doesn't work at the moment.

SAME! It was an alternative method recommend by my neurologist. Some dentists actually do it as well! It was a game changer for me. I still get some migraines, but the majority of my migraines used to be due to jaw, neck, and scalp tension, and after Botox it has significantly reduced the frequency and severity of all my migraines. Botox was actually originally developed as a migraine solution, and it's "off brand usage" is for cosmetic purposes! Similar to Latisse (now used for eyelash growth), which was originally developed for glaucoma patients! ❤

I had surgery as a baby for a cleft palate, then in college for the same thing. I also had a Leforte 1 as a teen for dental work: they put plates in my cheeks and chin and did something to my nose. I came out with an overbite instead of an underbite and a slightly more oval face and my eyes don’t bulge as much-honestly, the latter is what sold me on it. I grt a kick out of letting people touch the prominent screw in my cheek and watch them go “Eww!” 🤪 My mom gets Botox for a medical condition and does loose a few wrinkles every 4 months, but sometimes they come back.

I've seen a picture documentation of cleft palate surgery on a baby, and gosh dang, that's close to magic. It's a mean birth defect, and I'm so glad that we live in a time where that doesn't have to mess up somebody's health and youth. Also: prominent screw? How awesome, you are walking classic movie shout-out! Let me know when you're in the vicinity of Berlin. I'll trade you a scar along the hair line, but i'ts so tidy that it barely counts.

My aunt was born with pallet issues. When she was younger, she could put peas in her mouth and spit them out of her nose. I don't think she really got it fixed, though, because it was always really hard to understand her when she talked. She still talks funny and is hard to understand because she basically doesn't have a proper roof inside her mouth. If she did get it fixed, it was before the doctors were good enough at it that they could actually fix it. I've seen some people who got it fixed where you could barely even tell they ever had anything wrong. Doctors got a lot better than they were back when she was young... she's probably in her 70s now.

Suggestion: If The Childcare Industry Was Honest. For example, childcare tuition for a year can possibly cost more than college tuition for a year. Tuition for infant care is the most expensive.
@jonathanjones3126

Having worked at a daycare I can tell you it is because of the ratios of adult to infant and max class size that government sets. For us in utah max of 4 infants to 1 adult max 8 infants in a room. If their was a infant in a mixed class of ages max of 8 kids. For 5 year Olds we where allowed to have 12 for 1 adult and could have somewhere around 20 with 2 or 3 adults.
@jenaminton7009
@jenaminton7009 10 ай бұрын
There are reasons behind it. For one thing, we have ratios for the classrooms. Infants is one to four. Toddlers one to five. Twos are one to six. Threes, fours, and five s are one to ten.Two, the money goes to the upkeep up the center, buying supplies for the center including food, paying teacher salaries (which isn't great because yeah considering they basically pay us teachers pennies), and paying the salaries of all the other staff like Cook, Director, Assistant Director, and spending money on extra stuff as well. Yeah, we aren't just sitting on a big pile of money laughing like crazy.

They made me get botox in my forehead, scalp & neck for migraines and it did shit all but cause an extreme migraine for over a week and made it painful and almost impossible to use my neck and shoulder muscles for over a month. When i got my hair wet in the shower, due to the weight, i could not lift my own head up without using my hands... felt like Beetlejuice or Death Becomes Her. For a couple of months, my eyebrows were flattened into unexpressive dashes and the migraines never stopped.

A colleague of mine did it but only on the forehead where she felt most the migraines. The justification behind it was to relax de forehead muscle that supposedly where one of the reasons to have migraines. As she put it, it was good because she go no wrinkles for a while but she began to feel the migraines elsewhere in her head. The first uses of botox were medical, namely in Ophtalmology

I went to a legitimate plastic surgeon to fix tubular breasts (a genetic issue in my family) and honestly, the man was an artist. I'm 100% pleased, worth every penny, 10/10 would do again if I had it to do it all over. So, while plastic surgery is overall toxic, the point they raise that it can help you in small doses is very true.
@tamsel814

I recently also went to one for an eye lid correction. Having extra skin runs in family and I somehow got it the worst. It was considered purely cosmetical to fix but on top of my eyes looking much better I won't have to worry about the skin drooping over my eyes and reducing my vision in the future. It was totally worth it to me.

Just googled 'tubular breasts' and yep, that's a mean trick to play on anybody. And then there are of course scars from accidents, birth defects ... and seriously, maybe one day the skin around my eyes is so droopy that it impedes my vision. But my guess would be that 75% of all plastic surgery is just the outcome of way, way, way too many photo-shopped images in ads, posters, glossy magazines, and the sixth circle of hell AKA social media.
