Exactly. It makes me mad that Putin threats with nuclear weapons, but if he use them actually they get 10x times the number of nukes back. Its just crazy that some people think that is even a reliable option

Was the US in a state of war when it provided operations in Iraq, Afghanistan, Vietnam? What people would answer to an interviewer on an American street? The same. They are not in a state of war. It is a special operation. It is a war, but for Iraq/Syria/Afghanistan etc... And most people in the US don't feel guilty. However, the United States proclaims the democracy and the majority shares this opinion. With power comes responsibility. In a democracy it is the people themselves. In a dictatorship it is a dictator and the regime. But I don't think that people in the US and Europe blame themselves. So don't be a hypocrite.

Everyone is busy with their own affairs and their own problems. No one cares about any other people that lives hundreds of miles away. Even you, the commentator, don't care. You are focused on, maybe, one-two topics, on the agenda promoted by the media, and you don't care about other wars waged by your government. You don't care about the repression and destruction of peoples and cultures. What is happening in Southeast Asia? What is happening in China? What is happening in Africa? Maybe you have heard something, but in general you don't care. Isn't it hypocritical to be surprised and condemn the behavior of others if they generally behave the same way as you?

correct, the difference however is the form of government and aggression. It is Russia attacking another country, it is their president who has the threat of nuclear weapons on his agenda. The comparison is therefore flawed and the gist is that demonstrating in a democracy is allowed and helps (look at farmers' protests and environmental organizations) and in a dictatorship you go on the train to the Gulag.
