I got so obsessed with this song, I sent it to my two tinder matches and told them they must see this. One unmatched right away. The other have not responded ever since. The unmatched one, was a real pretty neuroscientist, dude... You have cost me two possible relationships. Still thanks a lot for the song. I will listen to this for years. And Ill keep it as a secret to partners until we sleep together.

Shoutouts: To the Nooran Sisters: No pitch correction software was used, and the tempo only shifted 2-3 bpms during the whole performance. You are very talented and would love to play this live with you some day. It would be amazing, a whole month touring in India, eating Indian food, that would be amazing, only to end at the Super Bowl half-time performance, with the actual RHChili Peppers. To Peder from XLN audio: Thank you so much. I was having a hard time getting a proper drum sound for this track. I called him asking for a "Chad Smith" preset (For Addictive Drums2), and he gave me priceless tips that helped me achieve what was in my head in the most easiest and intuitive way.

This style is called Quawali and often times they sing in cheap setup (kind of sad comparing the talent) and relies mostly on raw power. Also it is a family tradition. They are called Nooran sisters and their father is one behind the knowledge. The other renowned group is Wadali brothers, and you will see the heritage and what I am talking about

Sorry to burst your bubble, but that mic is probably just a prop - you actually have to get quite close to that style of microphone for it to pick up your voice, and the fact that you could hear him talk whilst it was an arms length away means there were other microphones out of view. I use to attend singing classes in school when I was a kid, even we were taught how to harmonize our voice with the group and also with instruments. This is more prevalent here and even in countries like Pakistan etc. You can find this type of singing usually in religious music, like this one. Never heard Sufi music before, but i checked after watching this. I have no idea how the methods or structures of this music are but it's metal af. Once they are quietly singing, next moment they are banging and tearing it up like some possessed berserkers. Their performance just keeps going for hours and i just don't get bored. That whole deal, how the audience behaves, throwing money at them. So completely strange and fascinating.

@@Lymbe06 Lol I'm pretty optimistic overall, but that shit hits out of nowhere every once in awhile. Rock and metal trends towards darkness, so I imagine there's a sort of intrinsic bond between those styles and darker thoughts. Personally, bands like SYOD and Korn can really break through the static and get my brain chemicals churning, no matter what mood I'm in. When I'm happy, it just makes me happier. When I'm down, it feels like recognition and commiseration, which creates a cool inverse effect where dark + dark = light :-)
