2019 Best Chinese ancient drama with a quarrelsome and loving couple
[ I Will Never Let You Go ]
Brief introduction of drama: It is called the ancient version“It started with a Kiss”. The cast is wonderful including two leads who I just love from other shows and here as well. The acting is spot on with the entire extended cast portraying the roles as if they were written for them. I find Ariel Lin to be absolutely adorable here. She owns every scene she's in. Quite simply, she is a wonderful center around whom this world turns. She has perfect and believable interactions and chemistry with just about everyone in the cast. She has cute relationships, caring ones, deep friendships, love, and romantic relationships. And it is a testament to the story and her acting that she could believably evoke friendship, loyalty, and love by just about everyone. There is romance but this is not a romance for the ages type of drama like Eternal Love.
