It's far from the worst call in history it wasn't even the worst call of the week

I'm going by super league rules here, shoulder to head, shoulder leading the movement, rising upon contact, yellow card. The head trauma related medical conditions plus grubby teams has forced this to happen. If you think this was a terrible call... Don't pay attention to super league. Run for your life.

Only time this can happen, the referee and the video review can prove that the head clash was an intentional head butt, not due to a collision. The Video Ref has to have the power to reverse such a call. The penalising of an accidental head clash is an embarrassment.

It's not the ref on the field that makes these calls, it's the nameless, faceless "officials " in the BUNKER that get it wrong and tell the "referee" what to call.

I will support such a stance. It’s not only about winning a bout between two teams, it’s to be done in the spirit of fairness, equality and respect. Allow the teams abilities, skills & courage determine the outcome. Obviously a bad call from time to time, should not be determining factor. It’s when the refereeing has got to a point where the team is under the belief or beyond reasonable doubt, the referring and adjudication has completely taken the ability of the team to win the game. Or in this case is going to cost them the game.

You can actually see the full referee team for each game including whos in charge in the bunker (which is usually another on field ref who isn't refereeing that day). However I do agree that the refs need to be held to a much higher standard, along with sanctions for consistent poor performance. There are too many similarly bad calls and its making the game far less enjoyable to watch in my opinion.

Maybe we have to come to the point where it intersects, is it a bad call or done by design or purpose. If that’s the case it’s done with intent to penalise any clash where the head come together, by accident. Then their is an agenda by NRL to attack any form of collision, until it becomes touch football. Guess what no one will watch it and players are not getting their million dollar payments.
