I have a great deal of respect for Dr Zakir. But I strongly disagree that any will go to hell for wearing pants below your ankles. This is mind control . This is exactly the kind of nonsense that turns people off from religion. God is Not that petty.

Salam aleykoum brother, here you go . The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "There are three whom Allaah will not look at or praise on the Day of Judgement and theirs will be a painful punishment: the one who wears his garment below his ankles, the one who reminds others of his favours, and the one who sells his product by means of making false oaths" (Muslim, no. 106) As The Prophet SAW said : "Seeking knowledge is an obligation upon every muslim." Therefore, sometimes, put in some efforts to gain knowledge.

No he is correct As that is the dress code given by Allah. If not why ask women to cover. ?? Then the command could have been to dress anyway one wants?? Why then the hijab ???. Allah knows best.
