It seems to me that the changeover from a respectable denomination to a cult happens over a long enough period of time that people tend to adapt to it. Anyone over 60 can see how the US has slowly changed into a whole different country over the last half decade, usually a little at a time. Just how does a leader decide who is worthy and who is not worthy? That thinking is evil and so far from the Gospels, it makes me nauseous.
