I like that stretch forward you can achieve with a row machine from the gym. I have a Titan wall-mounted pulley, where I put one side of a dumbbell against the foot of the tower and use the other side to brace my feet. With the dumbbells sticking out like that I have an extra 12" to stretch forward. If you made that with the added 12" length away from the tower, then yeah, I'd buy it.

I wouldn't but I'll tell you what I would buy. A very simple item that I can slide/clamp onto a standard 1 inch barbell, followed by a 2 inch Olympic plate. Ideally, this item would be extruded so the plate becomes adapted to the 1 inch bar. Picture a 2 inch donut with a washer welded to it on one side and maybe a washer that screws into the other. Goal is to effectively adapt an Olympic plate to a standard bar. There is only like one product sold directly from a website and it's not that great of a design.
@KaizenDIYGym
@KaizenDIYGym Жыл бұрын
Check this out: amzn.to/3DmBvGM Would it work for your bar?
@BossLevelPro
@BossLevelPro Жыл бұрын
@@KaizenDIYGym almost except the rest of my plates are 1 inch. Only my 45's that I got a great deal on Facebook marketplace are Olympic. Optimal design may be the product you pointed me to but only a little longer than the plate itself. Then I could slide one once plates on as well. The product I tried prior were close to that design but didn't have the large diameter on one side, and were narrower than the plate width. They were also a fraction too small so we're not held stable within the plate opening. I ended up making something like I've described using some pvc fittings from Lowes, wrapped in duct tape to fit snuggly in the plate. But since you seem to be in the business of inventing I figure I'd share an experience I'll never capitalize on myself. (I rather pursue making KZfaq content! Ha ha)
