Cabbage Lettuce It's a trick question. If u were asked this, u probably would've been confused too. Trick questions are suppose to trick ppl's minds. Someone once called me a stupid ass for not knowing a trick question and it pissed me off even though I got it the first 3 times. She still thought I was stupid for not knowing it the first time. TRICK questions were meant to confuse ppl and it doesn't make someone stupid for not knowing them. Those ppl who didn't get it are probably smart just like the ppl who did get it. Not knowing a trick question doesn't make a person dumb. Remember that.

that's the problem with languages that have such a prominent discrepancy between the written and the spoken version of the words. and guess what: i have the feeling this radiates also into the thinking. to my mind, there is a detachment for native english speakers between what they think and say or want to say respectively. it may even affect the way you can do philosophy.

That is why many of them are in college (vs the many of the vids I've seen where they can't get it unless they write it down). They have the ability to visualize the letters in their head and basically see the spelling without having to write it down. Or they have heard of the brainteaser before.

I'm belgian (french native speaker) I've tried this with my sons, they found it directly and watched me like "what's the matter ?!". It seems only difficult for english native speaker. Why ? I don't get it.
