im 15 and i still get really excited every time dad brings home something new for me. doesnt matter what it is, gloves, gear, helmet or protection. but one thing i'll never forget and was almost having an heart attack was when my dad drove one day to get me a 2018 TM 125cc, i was the happiest kid on the block (this was 2 years ago and getting a brand new out of the factory bike was a experience i never will get again)

I got 2 dirt bikes in 6 years and I still have both of them and ride them

I remember the time when my late friend, Gary Conklin 55b, was 12 years old when he first started riding 450’s. His dad would be on the starting line holding the bike up because Gary couldn’t reach the ground, despite the bike being lowered. At 14, Gary was competing against local pros. At 16, he raced in Canada where it was legal to race 450 expert class at 16. Gary still had a hard time reaching the ground but once the green flag flew, he was gone. On his victory lap, he’d do his signature lap by holding the checkered flag in one hand and still getting the bike to drift around turns 1 & 2, then wheelie out of 2 and ride the wheelie with one hand down the back stretch. Don’t know why your kid reminded me of him. Get him on a bigger bike and let him grow into it. I’d get him a CRF150R to race in the 80’s. Kid just needs seat time. Great video! You’re an awesome dad for getting into this! It will pay huge dividends later when your son will be able to drive better then everybody around him on the road. Riding saved my life a few times. Instincts kick in and riding ability takes over and prevents accidents.

First off I’d like to say thanks for all the hard work you do for the general public with all the videos. It’s also so cool to actually see parents out doing recreational activities with their children, it’s super cool. Secondly, I’d like to(between you and I, lol) share my two cents on your one child that has the most natural talent of them all. Note, all are fairly good riders, but, one stands out in my opinion, Mason. Mason, does for a very simple reason. Mason seems to be able to just hop on his bike and compete with the other higher level riders with little effort. From what you share in your vlogs, Mason really only trains when he feels like training. That is a good way to handle a younger child. I agree with why your not pushing him, no one wants to push a child to the point of being burnt out. Believe me, I speak from experience. With all that, keep up the good job of being a Mom and Dad.
