That is a total game changer for me. I've been thinking about getting a pickaroon and a timber jack for a while, the fact that it can do the extra's like not bending down for every single piece and having it on your hip is awesome. I love cutting firewood out in the bush , but the older I get (50+) the more these kind of tools have a greater payback. Great Video, very imformative!

This looks like a real asset for anyone splitting wood. I seen a comment on another post that someone was concerned about the little "hairpin clips" (idk what they're really called) that hold some of the pieces. I think if you're careful with your equipment it looks to be fine. It comes with that great bag so if you just put your equipment back where it goes (I hear my dad repeating this command in my ear, lol) it seems it would be fine to me. From what I've seen of the LogOx folks they definitely know what they're doing. Thanks for sharing. God Bless. ~Lisa

Clevis pins is the name for the "hairpin clips." They wouldn't be any problem in this configuration except if you lost them. If they are a standard size like 1/2" then replacing them would be easy as well as the spring cotter pins.

I know the effort involved in set up, filming, editing and producing a video of this caliber. Although they sent you this free of charge, they got more value in return. This is a well made very versatile tool, and likely a must have for those gearing up to cut wood. You have done a great service to anyone wanting to know real world use of it. The company would be crazy if they don't use your video in their marketing of this product. I only hope they returns some proceeds to you. Well done, stay warm.

We're incredibly proud to receive such a great field test review from someone like Eric, who has a tremendous amount of experience harvesting firewood (I mean just look at the size of that doggone woodpile). Like you, we were also really impressed with the quality of the video itself and the thoughtful way he went about showing his fans how to use a new tool to help with their own work. To your latter point, while we only sell the Forester Package and accessories on our website, anyone looking to purchase either the 3-in-1 Forestry MultiTool or LogOX Hauler can click the Amazon affiliate link in this video's description to support the LiF channel.

Made by Americans , is that a quality sign? I mean i had a chevy once, it started to come apart on the tour home from the dealer. It seems that that car was thrown together with a spade. @Gus VanHorn shitrovlet is both clever and stupid. Clever as a parody of Chevrolet and stupid because you can't spell it well enough to make it recognizable. Chev is to Shit and rolet is to rolet. I'd give it a try first before you break out the welding torch though, since the length of most people's arms are proportional to their height. For instance, I'm 6'3" and works just as well for me as it would for someone who's 5"3, since my arms are longer.

LogOx, (just being honest as a piss poor consumer lol) for $110.00 thats more than my chainsaw cost me. ill wait till i find one used for $15. i could understand $45 new. love2boat, ended up going late 90's Japanese shindaiwa 488 $60 barely used. included a case, extra chain, plug, wrench and bottle of original shindaiwa oil i refuse to use (bought amsoil saber instead.) i absolutely love this saw after just 2hrs use. i highly recommend shindaiwa.

Nice video, good to see safety gear being used. Suggestion: why not set the splitter to vertical splitting? Then you only lift the block up to waits/tailgate height once...

My friend just asked me a question that I really had to think about: how many more years are you going to do your own firewood? I never thought of it before, but I know that the LogOx Forester would allow me to do it easier.
